Was in Shreveport over the weekend and Horseshoe had the following sign displayed

"Pursuant LA R.S Title 27 LA Gaming Law
It has been deemed by the LSP Riverboard Enforcement Division that all versions of keno will be removed from all Louisiana Casinos by August 31, 2023."

All VP machines no longer offer keno. Anyone know the reason? Louisiana has always had some strange gaming regulations.

Might be because you can cheat on the old ones by putting a magnet on your numbers

The only keno they had was video keno on the IGT G20 cabinets.

I haven't gotten an exact answer, but I believe it may simply be the way the gaming rules were written (30 or so?) years ago being reinterpreted now. That it wasn't specifically approved. I did come across a regulation that stated something along the lines of "video poker machines can only have video poker on them", not the exact wording (it was quite a while ago) but it may have something to do with that. Anyway, it is specifically mentioned in our gaming compact, so we have Keno at Coushatta.
