This goes out to all of you frequent slot/vp players that go to Las Vegas . Sooooo what's the deal on free drinks in Sin City . ive read about other people that have gone saying they couldn't get drinks where they was playing at or Harrah's just wasn't letting you have any drinks because your not Diamond Plus (whatever) ,or your not playing enough , not tipping enough , Its all very confusing and it sets up a mind set of why am i even doing this . So come on y'all what's the REEL deal . surly y'all have an opinion ?

I didn't have any problems getting free drinks at Paris two weeks ago. If you sit at a bar with video poker, they have the drink ticket system in place. But if you sit at a VP machine 6' away, it was free. My card level was not checked

I think the only thing card love him that matters on is premium alcohol, like crown or something.

Yup I was reading some thing about that . part of it is trying to keep the lounge Lizards that are playing at the bar and only playing half of the max line bet down to a minimum . now that make sense to me . At the bar i could see how the bartender could keep up with that . But out on the floor your average waitress don't have the time to deal with that . a points tally system (like they have in ac ) seems like the way to go .

Just like the other Nevada casinos,(Reno Tahoe, Laughlin, etc) drinks are free as long as you are gambling.

Only once in the 48 years I've been going to Vegas have I ever not been able to get free top shelf drinks. That was downtown at the Golden Nugget. They told us we could have Jack Daniels for free but if we wanted Crown we would have to pay $7 a shot!

Sharon threw a fit and said we're OUT of here and we went over to Binions and drank Crown for free for the the next few hours.

Guess I think of CET “daily drink coupons” as what I would use if going to a restaurant and ordering drinks. Don’t think was meant to get with drinks on the slot floor as those are “free”.
There may be problems with slot floor service if staffing shortage issues - which seems to be a problem everywhere.

Yeah ive seen this notice before . were not diamond plus so we are s.o.l. there , but we might make it with the 5x multi . ill have to see how many points we need to bump us up. . dont get me wrong I dont mind paying for a few drinks here and there but it would be nice if there was some consistency . I figure the way they control how many drinks they serve in a given day would be to limit how many waitresses are working the floor.

I think i've got a feel for how it works with drink service in Vegas again. Free Drink Chits (you Diamond plus's or better ) at the bar are gonna be the best one's you can get . floor drinks (when you can catch a waitress ) for every one else . Mixed drinks out on the floor are not going to be super potent (they dont want you to forget what it is your doing out there focus, focus ok you've got this .) . I usually just get beer any ways they cant screw with those at all other than size . Like I said I've got no problem paying for a cocktail here and there as long as im getting what i want . Thanks for all y'all's input . Ill just have to put a few bucks aside for when we cant get service and think we will be good to go .
CHEERS .

As long as you are gambling the drinks are free and if you tip the cocktail waiter/waitress they will come back and the drinks get better [emoji23]

I had good cocktail service at Harrah’s when we visited (and hit a major each time!) In back section not far from the food court just tipped a couple of dollars each drink

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Harrahs has Very good cocktail service. When we use to go to Vegas 2-3 times a year, we usually stayed 3 days at Harrahs and 4 days at the Venetion.

Harrah's always had the best cocktail service and they were mostly older 40-65. Venetion also has pretty good cw service and they were mostly young 21-30 and half of them were always pregnant! :fat:
