Started in Omaha, not very good beer choice on the flight but I choked it down hhh, met up with them in Minneapolis damn this is a big airport. Lunch split brussel sprouts and grilled chicken sandwich with truffle fries

Can I just say that it is almost beyond my imagination that two couples who met randomly through a slot/gambling message board are now making their way though Europe together? OK here is my impression of London starting with the airport. It's not attractive on the inside or out. Nothing nearly as nice as Minneapolis that we flew out of the trains are really cool and it will take a little while to get used to but I think we're on track and it's very fun. Now to the city it's unbelievable you can't find a trash receptacle and it's the cleanest city I've ever been in. zero baggers or homeless and we're in downtown London so. Took a walking tour. The guy was great. I recommend it showed us gorgeous spots that's it so far.

wow hell of a day after a 2 hr nap and shower got a 2nd wind
we had a walking pub tour with local eats setup as well.
the guy was awesome he told us so many facts and took us so many places I can't start to share all the pics today here are some highlights.

Yesterday was a great start to the trip. Did a pub tour with Food and Ale samples at each stop. Food included fish and chips, scotch eggs, their version of a pot pie and little fried fish. One other couple joined us. The guide was so knowledgeable and took us to a lot of hidden gems we definitely wouldn’t have found otherwise. Derek and our guide played some shuffle board at one stop.

Also...what's the grey goop on the plate with the Scotch Egg?Laurie and I tackled and narrowed down to 2 good tours from viator and then giving us a few days of do your own adventure as well. there is touch to see in 1 trip for sure trying to get some highlights in and stuff we all like.
like our guide said could spend a month here and still not see it all 40,000 some streets alone.
today is 30 highlights tour so should be all over the place.
the sauce with egg was dark maroon hp sauce it is called.

4 seeing and hearing big Ben go off
5. 1st London cab ride
6. seeing the whole are by castle and Beautiful parks
7. seeing tower bridge
8. seeing the nice Southbank area
9. having some drinks in legendary blackfriars pub
10. seeing the whole city between where staying and Piccadilly and trafalgar square
so much left un turned
Sounds like you guys are really getting around! London is so cool! I was there in 1989 and saw Piccadilly and Trafalgar Square. We took the Tube everywhere, it was amazing!

Yesterday was another great day. We took another guided tour, this one called 30 top London sites. Our guide Nick was fun and very informative, 6 hours and lots of walking, well worth it
Saw Spencer house owned by Diana’s family, Buckingham Palace, with cars that drove King Charles and Camilla, we were fortunate to be in the right place at the time and our guide let us know what was happening!
Also One Downing Place, London Bridge, Thames river, London Eye, cool skate park, too many places to name.
Our hotel has canapes and drinks included every night another thanks to Derek for getting us that deal :)
Finally went in the bar The Blackfriar across the street from our hotel that has huge crowds every day. Late night dinner at Asian place in our hotel

What wonderful pictures--love seeing my grandfather's hometown--he passed in 1941 so never met him but heard all the family stories of England--is prettier than I thought.

Fun picture with a phone booth they are all over
We bought tickets for a hop on hop off bus. Saw more amazing architecture moved seats from bottom to the open top as those seats became available. Split from Derek and Amy as they wanted to walk more than we did.
Lunch at a pizza place across from St Paul’s cathedral, polenta chips (fries) arancini, saw a just married couple come out.
Later met back up for the evening at the hotel for the cocktail/canapés again included with our room. Then more drinks with calamari and quesadilla at another bar in our hotel. One more day here before we move to catch the ship

It's the cleanest city I've ever seen. We found out the lack of trash cans is because terrorists put bombs in them.

Yesterday visited the Piccadilly and chinatown area. Checked out some of the casinos there, they had more table games than slots. No luck.
Derek and Amy found a spot with a good whiskey selection to try some shots.
Sandwiches for lunch
Rode the open top bus again.
Walked along Thames River there was a wait for the Tower bridge to rise so a big ship could go through.
Back to the hotel for the canapes/cocktails then turned in early to get on the cruise ship today super excited for that!!

we are all still alive its been busy just leaving port for a sea day before heading home on Monday.
it was independence day in port so it was awesome. wow the people dress to impress even guys and they are all beautiful people.

not as much luck and did see them working on a slot and saw 85% on Konami games such as volcano rock and all that game age so makes sense why was so tough this week not a fan of game selection overall.

glad we got there early it was a mad house when leaving
got to Heathrow hotel and Watchung some planes for bit before a well needed nap
had to laugh at the funny poses they have ya do

Derek rented us transportation from the ship to see StoneHenge and then to the hotel next to Heathrow Airport. He has done an awesome job of making these reservations for us

There is so much interesting history in the world to see. What a wonderful way to experience it. Not only land based but then a cruise also. And to share that experience and fun with another couple one of whom is a travel agent who knows how to get things done! Derrick has done a great job! Yeah I was channeling sondor falling asleep at the slot machine hhh 24 hours awake definitely not easy on me and some stress with tsa and customs but not not dwelling on that because this trip was so worth those small things.
We played partners some and not some but got 1000 TC and enough wins to not lose much.

We had a specialty restaurant included in the cruise so used it the first night at Wonderland, an Alice in Wonderland themed restaurant with amazing presentation of the food. First you paint the frame with water and the menu appears. They gave us all of the appetizers and Amy and I had halibut the guys had short ribs, also dessert everything was excellent

Cruise day 3 - Bergen, Norway
Started through the Norwegian Fjords, the first pictures are from our balcony early morning, so exciting to wake up to, then later we took a bus tour excursion through the ship to see the city

5th day on the cruise stopped in Geiranger Norway
Thought the other days were scenic but this one might have been best but I love waterfalls. We were notified the day before to wake up so we could see the seven sisters area and the ship would make a 360 turn for both sides to see….very cool
Went on a ship excursion on very steep and curvy roads. The bus driver was awesome
It was our anniversary and we went to the sushi restaurant.

Thanks for sharing all the pictures and videos! I have to say, the scenery looks close to Alaska with the clear water, waterfalls, and snow. Looks like a cool place to visit!
