For those of you who fly Southwest, they are having a 50% off base fare sale for travel through 12/18/24. Sale ends 6/13. I found super cheap direct flights to Vegas for August a few weeks ago and booked them at about the same price as the sale price but for anyone looking to take a trip to any of the Southwest cities on the list there may be a nice bargain to be found. Thanks for the heads up! Just booked trip to Calif to see son and family $165.83 total round trip. I used the promo code and I also had rewards credits so got another $30 off.

Thanks Ida but I already had booked my next Vegas trip with Spirit Airlines, because at the time they were $350 less than Southwest. But now with that sale they are probably around the same price. :)

Plus my favorite parking spot at Midway is having a sale and I also found out I have 4 free days so 7 days cost less than $40. Meaning a 7 day trip to Calif is less than $200! That's a win in my book.

Thanks tee2green for the heads up on the southwest sale. Witch btw way ends ends today. We booked a visit to Donna,s brothers house in Swansea Mass.at the end of August. I'm sure we will get to eat some more great seafood again and do a visit to the Ballys casino in Tibaden RI for s little while . . Any ways a little something to look forward to ....the two trips last time average out to $1050 each . This one cost us $802 with the early bird add on . So yeah a bit of a savings .not 50 % but still a solid 20 something % . .works for me .
