I just saw GoldenGreek post on zeus' live Vegas TR that he sat on one slot for 12 hours (please confirm this GG and which slot). This got me thinking, what was the longest time you played on one slot machine, which slot and how much ahead were you when you left it?

The longest time I spent on one slot was 2 years ago at the Borgata, the day for the Kentucky Derby, I chased the progressive on the old Out Back Jack slot for 5 hours. Only reason I left were dinner reservations and we were also eating with SlotMommy and her DH. I never hit the progressive (approximately $1200) but I left up $500 and I max bet at least the last 3 hours on it. It was a lot of fun.

My first thrilling visit to LV was back in 2001 and I stayed at the Monte Carlo. After the 1st hour of various slot machine play (with no luck) I had asked a cocktail waitress which machine would be a good one to play? She directed me to a $5 Wheel Of Fortune slot which I then had stayed on for 26 hours (I had started with $5k in my pocket to play with). The restroom was only a few steps away and I had the waitress bring me something to snack on when I had gotten hungry. Yup! Those were the days! : )

slotbender, I can't imagine anyone can beat 26 hours on one slot! That's crazy and on a $5 slot, I guess you got rated real well!

Oh my yes! I went back to the Monte Carlo the following year and they offered me a free suite and everything else was comp'ed including airfare re-imbursement (back then, they didn't offer any free-play). As soon as I got in the room (after check-in) there was a knock on the door. A room service attendant was delivering (on a cart) a huge basket with a big bow ribbon on it. In the basket were many different kinds of premium meats, cheeses, crackers, fruits, etc.. The attendant handed me a greeting card & said that the basket was "compliments of the management". Like I said, "those were the days"! : )

That shatters my record of playing on the Zeus III machine at Palazzo in 2013 from 6:00 AM until 6:30 PM. Would have played longer but I blew through my daily bankroll envelope and was out of money.:concern:

Usually my bladder catches up to me. Probably an hour or so 5 reel mechanical games I have best luck at for long play times.

I don't come close to those two, but back in 2006 I was staying at Ballys and got on a gems wild tiles machine that kept paying and hitting bonuses. I stayed there for 5 hours. Had to get an attendant to watch the machine while I went to pee! I was min betting, but think I ended up about $250 ahead.

Degenerate? Yeah, used to be...maybe? Haha! But that was a time when disposable $$ were at/near an all time high and you had gotten a lot more play for your slot dollars (pre-SBG). The 2nd longest that I've ever played (since then) was playing the same vp machine for 14 hours on a weekend trip to the Borgata in AC 2 years ago (thank God for 5 Hour Energy Shots - ha!). I ended up breaking even on the machine (I was once down over $3k). I actually ended up being winners if I add up all of the comp's though (free flight & transportation, food, room, etc.).

I'm sure that you will agree that if you are a gambler and a business owner it's common that you will gamble just as hard as you will in doing business. It's a crap-shoot either way : )

Years ago we would go to Seneca and play the Hot Shots. I think the longest was over 12 hours. DH and I played one machine together. Was so much fun. We could even leave with money back then.

I've never stayed more than 1 1/2 hours on a machine and it was a Willy Wonka at Horseshoe in Council Bluffs, Iowa. I left up $400.

I may win for shortest -- I think I probably haven't spent more than an hour at any time, if that? I just get a little antsy and especially if I don't bonus frequently, once I do, I usually get up soon after.

BB, you must have accrued so many comp dollars max-betting Outback Jack for three hours! That's one reason I may try and push myself to stay longer -- curious how many points, etc. I could accrue if I was just more patient.

Mrs Penguin and I played 5 1/2 hours side by side on Gold Fish last year at Harrahs in AC. Bet $1.40 per spin and earned our 1000 tier credits. No potty breaks. Even played through a fire drill where loudspeaker asked all to leave, but most didn't. Lost $200.

I wish I could find a machine to sit at for a long time. I would like to just want to play and play and earn tier credits. Don't even care if I won in the end, if I could just keep recycling the same money.

DK528, I don't think I earned as much comp as you would think but I kept getting a lot of bonuses which I guess slows down how much coin in you're playing. I got the diamond on the gem bonus, paid $500 and after 5 hours I walked away with $800 TITO but I put about $300 into my play.

I guess a $200 loss isn't bad for 5 1/2 hours of play and earning 1000 tier credits.

You should learn the correct strategy of playing vp. You would need a sizeable br though so that you could get through all of the ups-n-downs during long time play : )

Lotus Land at Pechanga when a lot of slots at the casino were down and I was limited on what I had to play for my 5 hour stay. The casino had power outage and when the power came back up, messed up a lot of the slots, went into hand pay mode, and would not take vouchers. Finally after an hour walking around trying to find a slot that would work with my free play (all I had on that trip), I found Lotus Land and it was HOT (betting 30 cents at the beginning and kept bonusing the beautiful flowers). I played for about 3 and a half hours on it leaving with over $200 from whatever free play I had. I do not remember how much free play I had because it was a while ago last year around the summer time I think and it changes from month to month.

It is hard to find a good slot that can keep you on for hours and leave ahead on without dying and having to get off. I cannot stand staying on slots that are not paying and when they are not, I get off right away and move onto something else. I know some of you could be on the same slot for hours putting a lot of cash in even if its not paying, but I cant do that. I get bored when nothings happening.

I played Double Diamond Deluxe, betting $25 a spin, at Foxwoods for over 5 hours. I posted about it with all the pics on SF. During that time, I hit 6 jackpots, for a total of $9600, if I remember correctly. At one point, I remember being up $6600, but in the end, I ended up down $300 for the night. I earned 500 points, and it was double point day, so that was $1000 in comps. I still, to this day, get mad at myself about that one for not stopping. Regardless, it's still the longest I've stayed on one slot. It's still the most jackpots I've ever hit on one night and even in one trip, including Vegas. And no, my name is not spotterukot!

9 hrs on Konami's Roman Tribune at Kiowa in Devol, Ok. Maxi was at $$491. Didn't stay that long purposely. Enjoyed low rolling and interacting with comers and goers. Never needed to use restroom, time just flew by. Left $130 down and Maxi at $494. But had a blast!

Yeah, it was pretty nuts. I'd hit the mini a couple of times during the session and had enough wins to extend my play. I can't imagine what my coin in for that period was. This was my first real clue as to how much a game takes in to drive the maxi near $500

My longest time on a slot was when the first Wizard of Oz slot came into the Michigan casinos. My friend and I stayed on side by side machines from !0:00 p.m. util 6:30 a.m. I was out of money by then, and I went to the room to get more cash. She held my machine for me, and I got back on the same machine. I actually dozed off a few times, and she had to nudge me to wake me up. We played until around noon. That means we were on those machines for about 14 hours. It was my birthday, and it was her first time gambling. She was hooked after that. LOL

By the way, I lost $90.00 and she won $90.00. Coincidence? I think not.

This was at a tiny casino called Bay Mills Casino in Brimley, MI. It is the only casino that offers free drinks in Michigan. I had lots of Bloody Marys that night. At one point I asked the attendant if we were the only ones in the casino. They told me that there were five people playing, so we were getting lots of quick service. LOL

I have a very short attention span and will leave a slot when I'm winning if the wins temporarily stop for 5 minutes.
