View Full Version : Any Quick Hits Experts? I have questions.

So I have a relative that was playing a nickel Quick Hits machine about 2 years ago and hit the progressive for $11,000. It was a Wild Blue machine with a progressive that starts at maybe $6,000 for 9 quick hits. Max bet is $2.50. This was at our local casino here in western PA.

Fast forward almost exactly 2 years. Same person playing the same machine. The progressive is just over $6,000. They go into the bonus and while in the bonus they get 14 quick hit symbols. After the bonus is done the payout is a little over $11,000! They are stunned of course. The person doing the hand pay says that It was almost 2 years to the day that they hit the same machine and that they have never seen anyone get 14 quick hit symbols.

So I have a few questions. What are the odds of someone hitting the same machine twice like that let alone once? I have never had a hand pay that large. Also, I did not know that it was possible to get more than 9 quick hits. I know that there are 15 spots on this machine but have never seen anyone get more than 9. Has anyone ever seen this before? I personally have never gotten more than 7 so 9 is on my bucket list.

I know that this person is telling the truth. I just want to know what your thoughts on this are. Also how would the person doing the hand pay even know that the person had hit that machine before?

I don't know about the odds - but looking at the game I guess it is possible to get 15 quick hits if you can actually get 3 on each wheel. If it works like other Quick Hits, while in the bonus round you don't get the progressive. You actually get the number of Quick Hits times any bonus multiplier you might have picked.

I'm sure there are other Quick Hit experts that can maybe be a little clearer.

This is not possible on any QH machine I've ever played because the only reel that has 3 stacked QH symbols is the middle reel. Would love to know more about this though, because I'm a huge QH fan.

Good to know. I don't think I have ever noticed which reels have 3 QH's.

Are you sure about that? I am sure that this person would not lie about it. So are you saying that the most symbols possible would be 13? They could have counted wrong since it happened in the bonus and they were not expecting that. I also forgot to ask what the multplier was in the bonus round.

I was looking at a number of videos on You Tube and I noticed that the QH's seem to appear as follows:

reel 1 = 1 QH
reel 2 = 2 QH
reel 3 = 3 QH
reel 4 = 2 QH
reel 5 = 1 QH

making the total possible = 9 QH's

It would appear that 9 is the most you can get. I tried checking out the Bally's website but it doesn't say.

Well, I'm not 100% sure. I didnt program the game myself, and maybe there are other types out there than what I've played. I assumed you were talking about a 5 reel type of penny game. Either video or reels. I play that game an awful lot and have never once seen 3 stacked symbols on any other reels other than the middle.

Maybe someone else can verify this, but a bunch of us did the Bally gaming tour last year and I believe that was one of the questions asked to the game makers, if 3 stacked symbols are on any other reels. I recall them saying no, but that was a while ago.

Maybe someone else will see this and comment. I will say, usually when I've hit a bunch of them in the bonus its very hard to tell how many youve hit if its on the video reels because it's always such a shock, the meter racks up faster than I can count them and since it's the bonus the next spin starts immediately.

I can only say that when I hit the 9 Quick Hits it was on a Wild Red QH 5 reel machine and the QH were 1-2-3-2-1. Top pay on the pay line page was 9 QH for $5000. But also know there are all types of QH slots.

I think there is a QH version called Pro Hits or something like that. On that version you can get 15 QH symbols. There is also a bonus round that involves balls that come down from the top of the screen. Does anyone else know what I am describing ?

Okay I looked online and found this site that talks about a "Pro Hits" version of the Quick Hits and it indicates that it is a slot machine as well as an on-line version. The description indicates that you can get 11 plus QH's at 1500x your bet.

There is also this You Tube video of a guy playing the slot machine version.

I don't know if this answers your question? Hope it helps :) :)

The machine looks like this one (see link below) It is a 5 cent machine and max bet is 45 credits ($2.50) the three columns in the center have three QH symbols but I am not sure about the other two columns. I believe that they have 3 also which means a possible 15 if they all fell. I have never seen mote than 9 fall so I was wondering if anyone else has. This person swears that is what happened. I wonder if it could have been a malfunction or if it is possible. You would think that one of us may have seen it before if it was a possibility.
