What the heck guys, is everybody else as depressed me?:culpability:

No more waking up in the morning to a beautiful view of the mountains and lake.

No more going down the elevator and grabbing a great cup of coffee from Starbucks.

No more walking around the casino floor and seeing a fellow joker sitting at a machine in every other row.

No more cute cw asking if I would like another cup of coffee or maybe a spicy Bloody Mary.

I have made two local casino trips already since I've been back, but it's just not the same. Sigh...:ohwell:

I hear ya, GG.

I know you don't have much vacation time left, but would you be able to do somewhat of a mini Midwest Meet and Greet this summer? Like in late August or early September? I need something to look forward to, too.

There was so much going on that weekend. Slotting , dining, sightseeing . Now it's just everyday life. Hohum. Let's talk about what we're going to do next Tahoe trip!

goldengreeke I know what you mean GG. This is what I've always stated in the past and always will in the future is that these "locals" are a waste of time & money (a pacifier for the real thing). None of them can compare to a "destination" casino like in LV, Reno, Tahoe, AC, or even Lake Charles (casino's that offer so much more in all ways). There aren't many "memories" kept by oneself about their "local", but there are always many memories kept of the "destination" casino's that they visit. Although, some might prefer going to their local vs. a destination casino but I find that to be very, very few.... Hey GG, maybe if you refrain from going to your local(s) you would be able to make the M&G in AC? : )

The Tahoe mega thread was so exciting, I was checking it 3-4x a day. I too have *after trip let down* and I didn't even go! Lake Charles casinos and Coushatta are destination trips for me as they're a 3.5 hour road trip. I have Coushstta in August and LV in September to anticipate.

Like Riversong, I was checking the live Tahoe thread, multiple times a day too! Felt like I was there (and winning hand pays galore lol!).

Now I have the shakes, as I haven't been inside a casino since the April Las Vegas M&G. Maybe I'll plan to go for the G2E but not actually attend the G2E lol I just want to see the Jokers:)

I too am feeling Lake Tahoe withdrawal and I'm not even home from that trip yet! The only cure is to start planning the next destination trip. Thinking if going to NOLA in August. Harrahs offered me 3 comp days and 4 comp days in Biloxi. ..hmmm. and it's a nice train trip to NOLA. Plus just read that Beau Rivage is an Mlife property so might get a few free days there to. Over a week of comp days if I play my slots right, it will be hot this time of year but who goes outside anyway?

Yes @goldengreek the withdraws are tough... That was an awesome trip. There was always a joker around the corner, great food and laughs. I Miss Tahoe along with you!

Tahoe was a great M&G (lived it through the trip report). We'll be there next year. As far as locals go, we have had 3 trips to Cleveland Horseshoe in last 5 weeks. On July 2 Mrs Penguin reached Diamond Tier Level for first time. (Thanks to the CET bonus system). We'll be in AC on August 9-12 and again in Sept. Not sure how much we'll gamble, probably just sit in the Diamond Lounge until they kick us out.:very_drunk: Scored comped Jr. Suite at Ritz Carlton in Cleveland on last trip. Horseshoe gave us "Return FP" of $490 for the 3 trips. Works out to about 25% rebate on theoretical loss.

That thread was epic. Everybody now has carpal tunnel syndrome. No one can use the keyboard.

You have all kinds of options for upcoming trips. The Beau is an MLIFE property and we love it there. We went twice this year.. tier points add up slower.. but reward credits add up much faster. Love the steak house -I actuCally crave the duck fat fries. Can't wait to see where your travels take you.

Looks like a Biloxi/NOLA trip is in the works for August. Obviously not a prime time in those southern states so LOTS of comp room offers coming in. Beau Rivage and Harrahs, here I come! And the train to NOLA is a nice overnight ride... stay tuned...

Thanks Foamy. I'm thinking after summer for AC as the offers will be more generous then, but it's a wonderful time to be there and I'm sure all of you AC goers will have a blast. The beaches are great! I do miss Revel....sigh.....
