weekly weigh in down only 1/2 pound. Total loss 8-1/2 so far
I started juicing again this week. Juice 2x a day in morning and afternoon and then have a "sensible meal for dinner" with DH.
Not just doing it for weight loss but it definitely helps. Mainly doing it for energy level and just generally improving my well-being.
Also hitting the gym for the first time in forever!!!
Laurie, congrats on your loss.
Man my hip flexors are killing me tonight after one hour on the treadmill. I am weaksauce.
Congrats to everyone who is trying to lose weight. It is a constant struggle for a lot of us. It is a shame that all the stuff that tastes so good is so damn fattening.
It's been six weeks today since I started the "Fast" diet. I've lost 10 lbs, which I'm thrilled with because the week of KC I only squeezed one fasting day in and two walks. I'm off this week so I've gotten my 3 1/2 mile walk around the lake in every day.
There was no place to walk in KC. One morning we got up and walked around in the snow in the parking lot for about 30 minutes. We can usually find some great places to walk close to the casinos we go to. At home we have a half mile hilly half meadow half wooded path we do 6 to 8 laps on.
Good job Laurie, don't be disappointed, even a little down is better than going up, right :)
Gypsy, you are a hottie and you don't need to lose weight!! :)
Well thank you Blasé, you are gorgeous yourself. I don't need to lose much, but I don't want it to get out of hand either since I'm getting older. Have been really lucky most my life being tall. I don't know how you do that juicing thing, one meal a day? Tough!!
TWO meals a day. And today I did my morning juice and was feeling great, went to work out, then had to go to my aunt's house to pick up my wallet that I left in her car when we went to Four Winds the other day. And of course she offers me a glass of wine... who am I to resist?! But I guess, technically, I did *juice* twice today!! HHH, I crack myself up!
But yeah when I get fully on board with the two juices a day, I'll let you know how I feel. Probably be a lot more crabby.
Not to worry Blase. A glass or two of wine a day is actually good for you.
they say a glass of red is better then going to gym.
I need to start after vegas gotta cut winter weight off!
I weigh myself every Sunday morning and was down 3 lbs this past week for a total of 68.5 lbs since Mid-July. Seems like the scale is now going down every 2-3 weeks. That's fine with me. Progress is progress!
4 miles on the treadmill today... woot!
Even Steven for me today. Hope that means a bigger loss next week, since I've stuck with it.
Congrats to all that are losing or staying even. Hoping if I hang around this thread it will give me motivation. :)
Hope you won the battle Blasé and were able to get to the gym . This is me right now, but today I'm going to be a good girl and eat well. Attachment 352
My weight goes up and down like a merry go round.
On December 26, I weighed a whopping 262 pounds and decided to go on the Atkins diet.5 weeks later I had got down to 239 pounds but gained most all of it back during the Kansas City meet and greet and was at 258 last Monday.
Back on the atkins diet for a week, I weighed in at 244 this morning.
Down 3.5 lbs this week for a total of 72 lbs since mid July 2014. It's a marathon.
Damn QueenB, you are doing fantastic! I have been stalled at a total 6 lb loss total. I have to change things up!

I joined My Fitness Pal. I don't do the forums there, but I do read some of it. I bought a food scale and weigh everything I eat. I log everything I eat to stay within my goals. I am feeling a LOT better about myself. I knew things weren't right last year, and knew I had gained a lot of weight, but attributed it to working a LOT of hours at a sedentary job sitting at my desk as well as very poor food choices. I finally made a doc appt after my eldest daughter's wedding. I walked in, and told her that I honestly didn't think I'd be alive in another 2 months, that I was profoundly weak, profoundly fatigued, and couldn't walk more than 5 feet without being short of breath. She did some testing and I my thyroid was majorly out of whack! Started on thyroid medication, which I know helped a lot, but then started some lifestyle changes. I am not one to workout a lot, but I can easily go shopping now without having to stop and rest or huffing and puffing. I stick to my plan with the exceptions of vacation times, but have found I now make better choices and don't eat as much on vacation. My doc is thrilled with my progress. Still a long way to go, but like I said, it's a marathon! It's CICO (calories in/calories out)
Thank you for sharing that with us QueenB. Keeping the weight off is a never ending struggle for many of us. I have been down to my ideal weight on many occasions but because I like food so much it seems that just when I think I have it under control I start gaining a pound or 2 a month and next thing I know I have a bunch of excess weight I need to get rid of. Best wishes to you for continued success. You are an inspiration to us all.

Well, as of today I am down 20 lbs since KC. I'm pretty proud of myself! I was actually really sick earlier this week and didn't make it to the gym for a few days, but otherwise I have been working out and eating really well every day.
Way to go all you weight loss peeps.
That is so good Blase! And as Gypsy said in a really short amount of time!!
Do you start with a juice cleanse?
Not this time, I've done juice cleanses before but I realize that I just like food too much, lol.
Just having two or three green or carrot based juices throughout the day and then eating a normal dinner at night. Surprisingly I haven't cut down on my alcohol consumption all that much; I can imagine once I do that I'll lose weight even faster.
Congratulations Blase on such great results. We may have to give that juicing a try some time.
