I gained 10 lbs back (so did my husband)….holy shit I guess that was a lot of eating and drinking we did! Was on vacation for 2 weeks and came home and kept up the high carb eating for a week. I'm trying to put the brakes on now and stop any more damage of undoing all I lost. Coming here for motivation....looking back at some of the recipes here to try. Hope you other low carb/keto peeps are doing much better than I am
I know you had a fabulous vacation, so no regrets allowed! saw some of your pictures and wondered how you would make out. Everything looked well worth it to me! You can get back to it, and those pounds will disappear.
I am still plugging away, but making no progress. I haven't posted much because now it is just rotating through the same foods. I haven't gained any back, though, so I guess my old body is content here for the time being. I have several trips planned this summer, and some of them will involve many carbs. I will just be sure to buckle down when I get home. Derek is my role model for knowing how to splurge on vacation and be disciplined at home!
Hehehe- no regrets- I'd do it again!!! BUT...just have to learn to go back hard when I get home. The trips away are the hardest because like you, I know carbs will be involved. I'm cutting nuts, dairy, and alcohol (well we will see about that one. LOL**Edit- fuck...I failed already on that one**). Good that you are staying the same, that's going in right direction. :)
So when we were at our son's house our DIL made some delicious steamed artichokes in her Instant Pot. It finally made me order one. As I have mentioned before I have cooked with a pressure cooker since I was a young girl. I'm use to them. But I really did like the automation of the Instant Pot. I made a delicious pork roast. It was very easy to cook the roast then re-open and add the vege's, then re-set and walk away. It has a nice Sauteing/Searing feature. I didn't have to hear the hissing of the regulator and I didn't have to worry about adjusting the flame. So first meal was very good and a bit easier than using my pressure cooker. If it cooks the rice like my rice cooker does (have had one since the 70's) I think I can pack up 2 pots and have room for just the 1!
I don’t know if this is Keto but bacon wrapped chicken is delicious.
