So sorry, I hope the IRS gets its act together and Canadian's get the money they are owed.
They said that the Wynn did not submit the forms....and that the Wynn needs to submit a copy of the original form - a 1042S....which is not possible as they have sent their copy and we have sent a copy....however we still have one left - so perhaps we will take it with us on our trip next week and get the Wynn to resend it. Last week they said they cannot find it. In June/July all was good - we would get the refund in December, in December the letter they sent to us said our refund would take a bit more time and it could be six more months....and now it is just NO, do not have it, pass the buck and sorry sucker - we are not issuing you your money. Still going to fight it.
@Katdancer I was thinking that perhaps you could ask your host to help you with the paperwork? Also if it's a large enough sum maybe your host could refer a tax specialist to assist in resolving your refund?
It seems to me Wynn should be in a position to help you.
This is crazy. Hope it gets settled soon for both of you.
