I too received an email today, 3 nights, $405 FP and $100 Food, good through June 24th.....go figure!
Got a new offer 4 nights, $165 FP good from June 25 to August 19. Odd time frame.
Purple Envelope People, do you have to pay resort fees on a comped room? I did see on the Identity site that Gold and above has complimentary resort fee, so I am guessing that it is charged at lower levels?
Also, can you tell from the offer what type of room a comp is for? I'm not thinking it is worth it for me for a city room if paying a resort fee, but it would be for a terrace room.
Last question, can anyone get the Identity site login to work? I wanted to check my points out of curiosity but can't get in. Thanks!
The offer I received was for a standard room with two queen beds. When I called to book I could upgrade to the Terrace for 30 and get a king bed. I did that and when I checked in I was upgraded to a wrap around terrace suite.. Huge. I did not have to pay resort fees and I am only the 2nd from the bottom tier. This was in. March.. Hope that helps.

When I went on Thanksgiving, no resort fee. This last trip, resort fee. I read somewhere it also can depend on the offer whether they want to throw it in or not. My purple envelope doesn't state the room type, they told me on the phone when making the reservation though. Their online version sucks and I haven't been back to try to use it again!
Thanks MNvegasgal! It's sure worth the $30 to upgrade, but not sure I want to pay the $30 resort fee on top of that for just a terrace room. But after seeing the Wrap Around that Ken had I would for sure pay $60 for that without blinking an eye! I'll have to see if I can get there during the offer period.
Thanks Ken. It drives me nuts when you have to wait for check out to see if they charge the resort fee. It's interesting that you were not charged one trip and then you were the next I wonder if that is based on anything other than their whims? I have no idea how many points I have, but I am guessing I am still in the bottom tier since I don't remember seeing any message that I moved up, so I imagine I will pay. You know this is all your fault, right? I never would have played there if it wasn't for you & Cassie!
Here is what you are going to do! You are going to go, pay the resort fee and upgrade to the fountain view Terrace Studio and use the internet. Pay just shy under 2 hundy! You are going to love it and if you wanna screw em over, do it. You can't get that experience anywhere else in Vegas and it's worth every penny! You are welcome!
I've never paid resort fees even when I wasn't Gold. Like CPT says the offer doesn't state type of room, however the confirmation email does. Out of my 3 stays, two were in a one bed room terrace and one was one bedroom terrace with fountain view.
When you call up they tell you what room type you get. Mine is always for a Terrace one bedroom but I usually ask for the Terrace Studio as I prefer that floor plan and don't care for the Japanese soaking tub. You can also ask them when booking if there's a resort fee but lately they seem to be charging that unless you are gold or above, though if you give them enough play you can for them to take it off at the end of your trip.
No, I couldn't get the site to work to give me my identity points. However, you can call up and ask for the identity desk and they will give you your points and also whatever comps or point play you might have on the account if any.
Last, I just got a new offer last week for 3 nights and free play but it's only good through July 1st. I'm staying at Aria next month but plan on going in and asking the Identity desk to give me my free play even though I'm not staying there. It worked for Montecarloplayer during the April Stumble and others on Vegasmessageboard have done it, so wish me luck!
Thanks Evoni, great information. If I can figure out dates that work I will call and try to get as much specific info as I can! I'm sure I would be quite pleased with a Terrace Studio so that will be my goal :)
Good luck getting your free play while you are at Aria. I look forward to hearing how that goes!

Got same email. Also a week or 2 ago I got $75 nightly rates sunday-thursday
Hey Rosalita treated the fam to a nice dinner at Fuddruckers that night! She took the rest and got her nails did..hehe
Probably pissed because I took about $150 out of there during the Friday stumble. Trust me, I gave them enough the two days I stayed. But I loved every minute and would do it again in a heart beat! Cosmo gives me a #slotboner!
Ken you have 7478 messages in your in box? Any from Russia ?
I'm still getting 2 free nights from the 100$ promo I used 2 yrs ago. I should use them. Fucking Aria
For sure I'm going to double dip. no regard for low play. especially if I bring the wife. (She thinks this a fishing forum anyway!)
Got my first purple envelope

@hlaburg that's more like it! :D
@hlaburg I think Cosmo does a great job with their offers to be honest. I played once there barely and I got a decent offer. I haven't since cuz I never used the offer but I should be getting one soon after last week. Hopefully!!
Leah, I'm glad you got a comped offer from Cosmo!
Has anyone redeemed their freeplay without staying there? @Evoni I thought I remembered someone did or was going to try, was that you?
I redeemed a offer for $285.00 on my trip last month at Cosmo. When I did it he said I could still use my 3 comped nights before the offer expires, but I wouldn't get the free play again if I booked those nights later, that I would have to wait for a new offer for more FP. It was funny because when I redeemed the free play without staying there, Gwen was with me and went on to him about none of the other casinos do that and I turned and asked her, are you trying to talk him out of doing it? LMAO!
Thanks @Evoni, thst's good news! Glad he didn't listening to Gwen, WHAT was she thinking ;)
I don't think she meant it the way it was sounding to me. ;) I was a bit nervous that it was too good to be true, especially since SDGuy was with me and didn't double book that trip because I told him he could still get his free play without doing that, whew! Cosmo did score a few points with me on that policy and I think whoever made the decision was smart as that way it prevents double booking and not leaving one of their rooms they could possibly sale empty due to someone just taking it to get the free play.
Just an FYI: Since I took my free play last month instead of also staying the 3 nights at Cosmo that came with it, I got a new offer today since that previous Cosmo offers expires in July. My new offer is 2 nights, weekend or weekdays (June 4th to August 12th) but my free play went down from $285.00 to $260.00. Since I only played there a couple hours after using the free play it didn't effect my comps that much so far for just coming in and taking the free play. I will be using those 2 nights and the free play during my July trip so perhaps it will bounce up higher after that trip.
That's not a bad drop @Evoni. I hope to use my offer in Sept, thanks for sharing.
As many times as I have been to Vegas, I have never been inside the Cosmopolitan. I think I will have to change that when I go out for my conference this fall.

Got my latest purple email today, just three days after checking out of Cosmo. $375 FP is lower than the last one by $70, but they're still offering three nights any night and $100 FB. Good from this Thursday until August 5; here's hoping I can make a quick trip in July.
On this last trip, it felt significantly harder to rack up points under Cosmo's new accrual system. Not counting the 3X multiplier for Platinum, I averaged only 1842 base points per day for the three days I was there. I wasn't low-rolling or anything, but $2.50 per point really does feel like more work than $1.50/point like it used to be.
@boots Sounds like it's harder to rack up points at Cosmo now. I think that $70 freeplay reduction isn't too big of a deal as it seems you still get treated well there with limo rides etc..
When I stopped by there in April I played 2 times about 1 hour each time and I got around 800 points on my card. I guess enough to trigger a free room offer..
@Evoni, still really really hoping to make it out that weekend too! :D
