Low carb Derek's been a good boy and I am down to173 when I came home from KC I was at 180
Only lost a few pounds of water weight after Kansas City then the rest was hard work will gain it all back over vacation tropical food is usually lighter and more greens and stuff so should be easier to stay away from a lot of carbs
I'm struggling, eating really good accept I can't kick this habit. I think I eat about 600-800 calories a day in nuts and or peanut butter. I'm craving it and I wish I would get sick of them. :( Attachment 8591
@nhmajik, Here's something I copied for myself awhile back. It might help a little to know which ones are better choices? I don't do a lot of nuts, but when I do it's macadamia nuts, in spite of the outrageous price. I just pretend I am in Hawaii :)
While many nuts are typically low in carbs,
they aren’t all created equal. Here are the net carb counts in a 1 oz. portion of commonly eaten nuts:
- Pecans: 1.1 grams
- Brazil nuts: 1.3 grams
- Macadamia nuts: 1.5 grams
- Walnuts: 1.9 grams
- Coconut: 2 grams
- Hazelnuts: 2.3 grams
- Pine nuts: 2.7 grams
- Almonds: 2.9 grams
- Peanuts: 3.8 grams
- Pistachios: 5.8 grams
- Cashews: 8.4 grams
- Chestnuts: 13.6 grams
Thanks Chris, I definitely stay below 20 net carbs a day. I mostly eat unsalted pecans and unsalted walnuts mixed with sea salt mix nuts. And my peanut butter is dry organic peanuts and sea salt. My problem is too many calories. I rarely allow myself to buy macadamia nuts because I can't be trusted and those I will eat all by myself and in a day. LOL, I keep saying-tomorrow NO NUTS!

I had leftover sausage sandwich sauce in the freezer. Think Italian, onions and peppers. So I made the stuffed sausages, I still put Bill's in a roll topped with more cheese and finished by baking but mine I am eating without the roll, with fresh green beans. Thanks for the idea. this is an awesome keto corn dog recipe. I didn't use the sticks and just divided the dough in to 8 pieces and wrapped around the hot dog with wet or floured hands

I'm officially down 31 lbs (5 months ) ....Damn this Keto diet is awesome even for an older slower loser like me!!! I've been looking at all the great food porn (especially the keto desserts) on here but really just keep it simple as far as my cooking (meat & veggies & nuts), when I lose more I will venture more into other deliciousness as some of those dishes look so good! Keto On!!!!

Down 26 lbs 6 weeks in I hope to be in the 250’s next weigh in. Added a 2-3 km walk every morning along with more water. My appetite is way down and I am feeling great.
