Breakfast
This was thin sliced provolone with the egg mixture. Nice and mild and complemented the sausage and egg nicely.
@Nhcris that looks amazing!!
Chaffle of the day was a burger bun. Was just like eating a real burger! Yummy!

Plain old shredded mozzarella with the beaten egg makes for a simple crunchy bun.
Nhcris, can you post links to these (did I miss them?! I can go back, I looked online and there are too many to know which is best.) They look amazing and Adam loves waffles, we’ve been having the Kodiak waffles to be healthier, but these must be better!

My basic recipe is 1/2 a cup of shredded cheese and one egg. 3-5 minutes each in the mini dash. I don't even grease it. This makes 2 chaffles.
I have also done them by laying down one thin slice of cheese, then half a beaten egg, and topped with a second slice of cheese.
For the chicken and chaffles, I just added some Bell's seasoning to the egg mixture.
The chocolate one was a little different, and I will go back and link the recipe to that one in the post.
I joined a group on Facebook - Keto ChaffleHouse - and they have tons of suggestions and recipes (amidst a lot of nonsense).
From now on I will post the recipes. I was thinking people were not interested.
I use that little mini-Dash one, which is non-stick. Plus the cheese releases some oil which helps with that. I haven't had any issues with anything sticking so far, as long as I am patient and wait long enough for it to crisp up. If your waffle maker isn't non stick, then I would grease it I think. But definitely don't use PAM or those sprays on a non-stick surface as it will eventually ruin the finish. My only issue is that I sometimes overfill, and then it spills over and gets a little messy.
Last night I made 4 of them and put 2 in the fridge. This morning I threw those in the Air Fryer on the Toaster setting. While they were toasting I fried up an egg, sizzled some ham and topped with cheese. Voila, easy breakfast!

You did warn me about the chaffle craze in AC, these look awesome! The one pub here in town makes a BLT between waffles and they infuse the waffles with cheese and other spices, I bet these come close to that. Chaffle on!
Made my favorite turkey tenderloins for dinner. They were delicious! I also attempted make a cauliflower hash brown chaffle in my Belgian waffle maker. It was a complete fail! BUT......I still tasted it and decided that with a little tweaking it will make a great stuffing when the holidays roll around.

Now that I've been clued into Chaffles, I just may be able to cut out my bread addiction! Might even be able to get Jeff to try it also. Will do some research on it. Thanks Nhchris for posting about it.

WOW Chris, those Chaffles look awesome-especially the one with chicken and syrup- I'm Drooling!! Can I ask how many meals you are doing a day...or are you doing a set amount of calories? Those Chaffles look amazing but I'm thinking with huge amount of calories you couldn't eat much more in a day.
Chrissy, I count carbs rather than calories for the most part. I usually eat 2-3 meals a day and sometimes a snack. 2 basic chaffles are one egg and 1/3-1/2 cup of cheese. Less than one Carb in an egg and depending on the cheese 0-3 carbs. So my chaffles are 1-2 carbs apiece, or 2-4 when I make a sandwich (plus the sandwich ingredients). Honestly, my biggest problem with carbs is tomatoes!! I fucking love them.
So my usual day of eating is either a chaffle egg sandwich or eggs, meat and avocado for breakfast, a big ass salad for lunch and meat and a veggie or 2 for dinner. A snack might be a scoop of rebel ice cream or some berries or some nuts. I drink coffee, water and a Powerade zero throughout the day. (Of course, this is all when I am behaving HHH) I would guess that my calories run form 1000-1600 on a normal day. I will say that I have been pretty much stalled for 9 months now, but when I gain like after a trip to AC (OUCH) I lose it all within a few days. My damn body has settled in here and doesn't want to give up any more fat!! I need to do a fast, but I just haven't been able to force myself to do that yet.
I've been OK with my cloud bread but these sound soo much better and um...cheese makes everything better! As soon as I get motivated again (which better be tomorrow) I will try some with my regular waffle maker for sure!

The chaffling continues. Sliced Swiss cheese with an egg made the two chaffles. I rested them on a cooling rack for maximum crunch. Sausage and another egg completed the concoction Delicious and Lola approved!

What is in a cornbread Chaffle @chrissyDee

Yes, enquiring minds want to know! I also want to know how the chocolate Chaffles were made.
I have been chaffling too but I haven’t gotten too experimental yet.

I'm ashamed to say I haven't tried making a chaffle yet. Maybe tonight will be the night!

Very annoyed I didn’t see the chili Chaffle bowl earlier as we had chili for dinner tonight and I wanted “something carby” to go with it!
Next time! I even had a mild Oaxaca cheese that would have been perfect! Argh!
Keep posting these ideas!

Sorry guys, I forgot to get this link to the chocolate chaffles. This is the one I used, but they are dozens of them out there.
https://www.ketofocus.com/recipes/ke...olate-chaffle/
For the cornbread chaffle I (think) I used shredded mild cheddar, 1 egg and I found a cornbread flavoring at Amazon. I only used 3 or drops, but next time I would use at least twice that much. These re the flavorings I got https://www.ketofocus.com/recipes/ke...olate-chaffle/ but there may be better ones out there.
@nhchris, think that’s the wrong link for the flavorings. If you could share what you bought, I’d appreciate it!

Oopsie! Sorry, this should be the right link. https://www.amazon.com/OOOFlavors-KE...gateway&sr=8-2 I am not sure I would get the same ones again, as they aren't as strong tasting as I would like. There are others out there. People seem to like LorAnn Oils, but I couldn't find a combination that I liked.
Finally got around to my 1st attempt at a chaffle. I used a regular waffle maker, it was kind of a shit show while they were cooking, with one side sticking but I peeled it off and laid them back in the well to finish cooking. I used swiss (except for one when I realized I was one slice shy as I was in the middle of putting them in). Used 1 swiss and one pepper jack. I have to say I can definitely taste the swiss (which is a good thing). Not the prettiest but they taste good and feels good to have something to substitute for bread in my hands.
Was supposed to be a BLT, but then I realized I had no lettuce. Also realized that no one tells me when they use the last of the mayo[emoji34] so had to improvise and use ranch dressing. Will definitely keep experimenting with them!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...8704e0d8df.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...f9b5aea79e.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...36345befb6.jpg

Yum Ida!
Did you use sliced cheese or shredded? I think shredded works better.
Here was my sammich I made for lunch today!

I excitedly realized I have all of the ingredients for the chocolate ones, so I may try those tomorrow night!

I used sliced but I think you are right about the shredded since the sliced instantly melted. Amd mine were wayyyyy too crunchy so will probably cook less next time. Post your chocolate ones please. Sweet is right up my alley lol.
Your sammy looks great!

These sandwiches look so good. But my waffle iron is the big ass round one..it would be a humongous one. Maybe gonna have to try on the weekend and share it.
I have read that people use the big ones, double the recipe and then cut them in quarters. (Especially the round one with the dividers???) You can store them in the fridge overnight (or probably longer) and then pop them in the oven/airfryer/toaster to crisp them back up.
My waffle iron is rectangular with 4 sections, very old GE. I might try these. Hopefully not too cheesy.
