Are there any of them that will take out state tax on HPs?
I don't think that any of them do, anywhere. Reason being is that reservations are exempt from a lot of state laws- so things like smoking laws, taxes on income earned on reservations, etc do not apply there.
never had a handy at a damn NA casino so if that tells ya anyhthing LOL tight as a rusted bolt!
Hubby had a HP at Four Winds in Michigan and he had to pay Michigan state tax. I don't remember if they took it out before they paid him but they gave him a 1099 and he had to file with Michigan.
NC does not.
Seems to me that Pottowatami will...I only had the one small one and would have said no but want to say someone else I know hit one and they did
My thoughts too kdk. You can end up with a rather large state tax bill. In MI you pay 4.25% on the TOTAL amount of W2-Gs. Let you slide the 1st yr, and then you pay quarterly or pay a 25% penalty. I'm on the quarterly pay now. Wondered too if our Detroit commercial casinos will take it out if asked.
Anybody know how often casinos pay the feds those funds they have taken out of HPs? Is this an everyday/week/month/quarterly?
Choctaw Durant will, but you have to ask, they don't volunteer it.
I know Choctaw Grant does also in OK. My uncle always has taxes held out there.
I have heard that Winstar will not, but I can't say for sure if that is the truth or not.
