What a great write-up Diana! Sounds like great company and mainly great dishes but sorry it wasn't all totally amazing.
I've eaten there as a solo diner and you hit the nail on the head -- service was a little slow as a solo diner. But otherwise, had an incredible experience. I'd pay just for the bread and mignardises (sp?) carts!
Excellent review and thanks for the write up on Joel Robuchon, hoping to make it there someday.
Oh my that lemon looked scrumptious!
Great review and pictures. Friends of mine have had the 16 course menu there and raved about it so I have always wanted to try it, probably will at some point...
The bread cart, butter from France plus the mignardises is just visually stunning. I had that butter in France and it's to die for!
Glad you and Noleman had a lively evening conversing, too bad about the service being too slow. Did you have wine with your meal?
I might have just been expecting too much due to the 3 stars from Michelin. :) If I have friends that want to eat there in the future I certainly wouldn't turn it down.
It was wonderful, really loved my lemon dessert and lobster and turnip appetizer.
Normally I never put butter on bread, I prefer it plain but I had to try their butter and I agree with you about it being to die for, best I've ever had!
I think the service was excellent for us, except not the fail when I asked to see the list of dessert wines. But since it's Vegas and some are eager to get out to gamble after a couple hours I could see where some would find it a bit on the slow side.
I think you've mentioned that you have eaten at French Laundry in the past? IMO, between the two restaurants French Laundry would take first place.
I had a glass of Riesling with dinner, it was good and paired reasonably well with what I ordered.
Loved your write up! The pictures of all the food was amazing I just wish they had smell-a-vision! Thanks for your review~!
Great report Diana! The food pics and descriptions look really delish! I don't know if I could ever do a 4 hour sit down dinner in Vegas though? It would take too much time away from the gaming floor. Haha!
Fantastic reporting like usual. Not my cup of tea since I'm not a foodie but my daughter would absolutely love it!!! I'll be showing her your review later on today. Thanks for taking the time to share.
Ang
Loved you report I would like to try eating there.
Thanks for the tasty report. I don't mind a long dinner as long as I'm with good company. How much is it just to eat bread and butter?!
Everything looks and sounds great! Enjoyed your report very much :hungry:
Finally got a chance to read your review. I may have to add this to my "to eat" list when I'm there in October. What was the total time from sit down to finish to eat the meal. If you don't mind me asking?
Thanks Jeani, I'm you liked it.
Thanks. :) I think that's why they started the shorter prix fixe dinners like we had so people can get out quicker then the 4 plus hours the 16 course dinner takes. Also I think L'ATELIER DE JOËL ROBUCHON which is next door to Joel Robuchon is much quicker. :)
Thanks Ang!
I imagine they would have quite the crowd if they let folks come in and just eat the bread and desserts, LOL!
Thanks foamy, I hope you and Laurie give it a try sometime.
Thanks Laurie!
I think it was 2 and half hours and at the end we did have to hint to our server we were ready to leave and not linger as the casino was calling both Noleman and me.
Any Michelin rated restaurant is usually a 3 hour dining experience or more.. That type of restaurant in Vegas where gamblers are eager to go back out to casino and play might want to expedite the dinner.
I had lunch at French Laundry some years back. Flawless all around and worth the tariff.
Would love to try Robuchon as I have been to Michelin restaurants in France and I hear that the experience is supposed mirror that. As a foodie/wino it would be an experience and comparison to cherish.
I recently met a chef at a wine gathering who is consulting for all MGM restaurants in Vegas. He's in Vegas a lot these days and I will pulse him if I make a reservation at Robuchon.
Always wanted to try Guy Savoy at Caesars but found out they don't allow outside bottles for corkage, pass!
Glad to hear the Riesling was good, nice pairing with lobster dish for sure..
Diana, thanks for the write up. This has been on my to do list for a while. And with the $700 RC for my next trip I'll definitely try to make it this time. Glad you and nobleman got to experience that wonderful dinner!

I'm in :) Hopefully our Vegas trips coincide!
HA! I just saw this for the first time. This was such an awesome dinner and Evoni is a riot. Highly recommend hanging out with Evoni in Vegas 10/10 would do again.
