Would you rather....
Scenario 1. Win $1500 at the beginning at casino and piss away $1000 and leave with $500.
Or.
Scenario 2. Lose , lose , lose $1000, then hit $1500 and leave up $500.
Both same outcome.
I prefer the first scenario. Then bitch afterward that I should have left early.
-
Tough choice but comebacks are really fun, so I would choose #2. :)
-
I would vote for the comeback option since I am the comeback queen lol. I would be mad for giving the money back in option 1 and Option 2 is more like the sigh of relief that at least I won my money back.

Sc. 1: More enjoyable because you're always up.

Sc 1 for me. But then again I would love to leave ahead $500 for once!
-
#1 because I would be playing on their money in the beginning and taking home $500 of theirs too!
-
Scenario 1 I'm playing with casino's money but would be pissed at giving back two/thirds.
Scenario 2 I'm playing $1000 of my own but while disappointed in losing, would be happy to recover it plus $500....
Emotionally I would feel better with #2 but I would choose #1 because I'd be leaving with $500 PLUS my allotted bankroll

I prefer #1 because from the get go I'm up and then everything becomes less stressful and a more enjoyable trip.
I'd take scenario #2 to leaving a loser, but when you're losing , losing, it gets you down and negative until you get that hit at the end, which brings you really high.
-
I also would choose #1. It takes a lot of pressure off if you can be ahead at the beginning.
LOL - though I am like @zeus - would be nice to come home with an extra $500.

I gave this a lot of thought, and I am going with Choice #1. My biggest hit ever came on the first night of a fairly long trip, and I was on a high for the entire trip even though I couldn't win another thing!
I guess we have short memories because I have also had those trips where I lose, lose, lose and then pull it out at the end which makes me forget what a grumpy bitch I was for most of the trip - HHH
-
2, I like the euphoria of getting some of my money back.

Definately #1. It sets up a winning vibe that you can ride for the whole trip.

Def #1. I could never lose $1000 in one outing, I cut bait and walk around $400 down and that amount is if I'm in Vegas. Locally I rarely take more than $100.
-
Scenario #1.. I like to play with the Casino's $$ and tend to play bigger when ahead and play games I normally wouldn't.
The problem for me is to leave $500 up...
-
I'd prefer #1 because then I could say that I played on their money. And earned whatever comps during that playtime, so I would feel that it was worth it.
And I also know that #2 would probably never happen, because if I won $1500 and then was up $500, I'd most likely think I was on a hot streak and play more, thereby losing all of that money as well!!!
-
I prefer 2. Getting back my money and then some really makes me happy!! Winning right away makes me regret every dollar I give back. How about option 3, winning right away and winning some more?....lol.
-
So far ...
Option 1.....13
Option 2.....6

Definitely #1! I have had both scenarios and #1 gave me more joy because I had that lift for the whole trip. It feels great to get it back after losing but like Chris said you feel crappy the whole trip if you are losing. I would rather mindlessly loss their money. Coming home with $500 would feel like a HP for me considering how my luck has been. Haha!

Winning at the beginning makes me go on tilt trying to recreate that win. If it is a hand pay.. I have to fess up to DH and then he takes most of the money so I don't blow it. The best trip I ever had was a hand pay winner first day with free play, then hit a 2nd one the next day.. And then due to plane issues ended up staying another night and got a 3rd hand pay.. It was totally surreal. Haven't had a handy in Vegas since :(

#1 but I would just like to have either happen to me at this point....
-
I like #1 leaving with some thing in your pocket IS allways good
-
#2 for me happened to me Friday night as I was down $390 then won $400 on China Shores. If I was up $1500 & gave back $1000 I would feel sick about it. I usually quit when I'm way ahead.

#1 for me, I like playing happy.
-
#2. I'm more likely to go home with money if I win big right before going home. If I win big early on, I'm more likely to play it all back if I'm not getting decent wins.

What is this "leaving ahead" you speak of? :chargrined:
-
Majority of the time I am at scenario one, but then at the end a lot of times a slot saves me and I leave ahead. Lately though the last 2 months, has been scenario one with crappy base game and free game pay on anything I go on after one machine pays out. :(. I rather be scenario two, but whenever I start at scenario two, I could hardly get anything going. Usually its at the beginning of the casino trip I win, lose a little here and there, win again, repeat, and then win on my last machine before leaving. Lately, even my favorite slot machine no matter what local casino i go to, has been having crappy base game pay and horrible payout on the free games. I have also watched other people too and they have been getting the same results the last 2 months. I play konami slots and chinese babies. Last weekend I saw someone on china shores hit over 400 games at max bet 5 bucks and got only $700 something bucks. I have hit 96 games once last week and got only 20 bucks betting 50 cents. Horrible. :( I used to always get $200+ or at least $100 in the free games when I hit a lot, but not anymore or at least the last few months. :(

^^^^DITTO WHAT SHE SAID^^^^ ;). #1 for me

Prefer #1 for reasons already listed and also agree I would be happy with any winning trip!
-
#2 for sure
