A guy posted on the other forum that his gf was at Ballys and couldnt get her freeplay because they were out of funds and to come back another day and be early in line to make sure. Looks like bancruptcy is showing up.

WTF? That's crazy. Maybe they just ran out of the reel rewards coupons? (yeah, I'm an optimist!)
This is not surprising to me. Since the news of bankruptcy had come out for CET it's been a real "gamble" to play at any of their properties and I'm sure that this has steered quite a few people away from them. I've been watching how the (Global) economic downturn has been proceeding and it looks more grim as days go by. These boom/bust cycles happen about once every 7 years, each one more severe than the last. This has hurt almost every business where only the strong will survive. I don't expect CET to survive this one. They need a rabbit to be pulled out of the hat : )
I asked Kevin to clarify the free play. Post says she's a diamond also. If that matters.
Would be making a call to gaming comisssion and local news depending on what facts are.
Nevada gaming law states casinos must have enough cash on hand to cover every chip on their floor, and can be as high as 100's of millions of dollars... depending on the casino
Maybe there is a big jump in number of people playing before the tier score promotion ends in a week. KC mails the coupons and some other properties you key it in at the machine. Maybe Vegas needs to switch to that way!
what happens if you forget the paperwork with the code on it? Are you screwed or will they give it to you. Seems like a backward way of doing things. I'm MLife, so it's just loaded in for me to be used at their properties. Am I missing something in this conversation?
I read somewhere that CET just dropped the code. I think it was in an email from them.
Hey Pat - since there are so many CET properties nationwide (instead of mostly just Vegas properties like Mlife)- they still don't have a universal way of doing freeplay. Some properties (my local and Lake Tahoe) mail you a freeplay coupon that you insert into the machine, some send you an offer where you download it into your bank account - (and yes = you can go to Total Rewards and they will give you the code if you show your ID - I think it is to keep other people from using it if you leave your card in a machine or lose it) and I think some have kiosk that you can have it printed out.
In Vegas - they usually have an offer attached to the room. For instance - this April trip I have an offer for $250 freeplay and $250 resort credit. When I check in - they will apply the resort credit and tell me to go to Total Rewards and get my freeplay slips. These slips can be inserted into the machine.
Kevin said they were reel reward vouchers. She arrived Friday and they said that she couldn't get one till sunday. Arrive early and get in line!
Phoenix ak chin prints a code for each week. Comes in a mailed booklet. At any machine we use a pin to open our account then it goes into our bank. It's good for a quite awhile. Take out at least five dollars at a time. I get ten to twenty five a week. If I don't take my code they will give it to me at total rewards.
In Vegas the most I have gotten is fifty dollars. Have to stay at CET then go to cashier and get the Tito type vouchers
harrahs cb said they got away with dumb pin number and now just need to login to the account to get it like most normal casinos do it
At the Tampa Hard Rock you insert your players card in the machine and then press a button to see your free play. After entering your pin number you can see how much free play you have. If you have two offers the second won't show up until after you used the total amount of your first offer. You can use $5, $10 $20 etc or all at one time.
