casino trip, even the local ones?
Work all week, go to the casino, work the next week and go to the casino, etc, etc, etc.
Sharon and I have pretty much been doing this every week for the last 30 years and still excites us.
Going again tomorrow and just as excited as the very first time, maybe even more! Probably won't even be able to sleep tonight and we'll end up heading out by 5:00 AM, even if we're up past midnight tonight.
Anybody else still get as excited?
I am very excited, Gene! Granted I don't go as often as you guys. HHH!
Going next Friday to Coushatta for my birthday weekend!!
Nah! Not for any of the locals. They aren't worth wasting the gas to go there, poor comp's & slots are just too tight. Although, I do get excited when it comes to a Vegas or AC trip! - (as Derek would say, "hell yeah!") I've been retired for about 2 years now so I have no more need for an alarm clock here Gene. I've really gotten to enjoy my afternoon naps though, haha! Good luck to you & wifey tomorrow Gene! : )

I get so excited that I am like a kid on Christmas Eve. We are still 7 weeks out from Vegas, but it is all I can think about. Our closest local is 3 hours away, but it is hard to get a room there so we only make it once or twice a year. Even then just the thought of hitting the slots excites me. Finally got Sharon up and should be on the road by 6:00 AM.

We don't go often, last time was in January...and I'm READY to burst with anticipation. 1 more week for me- I get excited for every casino trip just wish I could do them more often. Good luck to you and Sharon!

Yes I get excited prior to a trip, my local like Zeus' is 3 hours away....so that's a planned road trip...for at least 2 nights but usually 3-4. Now that I'm retired I have the time. Vegas trips are usually 5-7 nights. I enjoy the planning, dreaming and anticipating.

Yes, I get excited every time I have a casino trip coming up. Tomorrow, I'm going over to Biloxi for an overnighter where I will celebrate my retirement with some friends. Then, next week I will be going to Vegas. I am so excited and can't wait!

When I was in FL I used to drive to Biloxi a lot. I really miss that. I only get excited for Vegas or anywhere there is a Jokers M&G I can attend. Hope you and Sharon have fun today.

I rarely go to locals (Coushatta, L'auberge du Lac and Golden Nugget in Lake Charles, LA) as they're 2 1/2 hr drives. Actually the last "local" visit was for Warren's M&G in August, 2014!!!

I've been going to Vegas to gamble for over two decades and I've been there so many times I cou never add it all up but every time I'm so excited I'm literally jumping out of my skin, at least that's what it feels like! I get exactly the same way when I'm going to a local casino too, super excited. The only difference between them is when going to Vegas I know there's a way bigger selection of fun places to enjoy and I'm always there for multiple days so it's more fun, the most fun for sure... My countdown is single digits now!

Yes I still get excited, even for local gambling trips. Heck, I get excited when I go to a bar that has VLT's!! Even if I don't play them... just knowing they are there is enough, HHH!! Must be all that degenerate blood coursing through my veins.
I still get really excited for every casino trip. The anticipation of my next trip keeps me hyped between trips.
Since I don't play at locals and only in Vegas I'm always looking forward to the next trip. :)
I still get excited, even for the locals, although I have cut those trips WAY down. If I plan on going though, I can't sleep I'm too anxious to go!
GoldenGreek, me & my DH are the same exact way! We are lucky to consider the AC casinos our home casinos but whether we're going for a few hours or a night or two, we're giddy with excitement! I think it's the thrill of, "maybe today will be my next HP!"
