Going through the mail after our amazing Princess cruise from Grazie, imagine my surprise to find an offer from MoSun for a comped cruise on MSC. I know next to nothing about MSC, but being a complete cruise addict, I will be picking up this certificate next week. Anybody else get this and planning to go?
Welcome back, NHcris! We have the offer and reserved it but might cancel. I don't know anything about the line and have read mixed reviews; we are debating if it's worth it or not. Next Friday, right?
Anyone with info on MSC, please chime in!

My family and I took a cruise on the MSC Divina out of Miami last July.We had a great time.We found the cruise to be a little more laid back then others we were on.The casino was small(no craps)but the food was fine and the shows were very good.There are plenty of lounges with some very good music.I think we stopped at 4 ports. MSC has many mixed reviews but we had no problems and will cruise on them again.

@KenRI, that is great to hear! For the Caribbean we prefer something a little quieter than Carnival, but not quite as sleepy as Holland America, and it looks like we would choose the Divina so we don't have to fly halfway around the world. It sounds like it would be a good match for me.
The fact that the offer says it includes port fees and taxes makes it pretty irresistible!
Wow that is a great offer if it includes taxes and fees and it's always nice to try a new cruise line!!! Have fun picking it up :)

So, I'm currently trapped in the airport in Raleigh waiting on a flight that was supposed to leave around 8 pm. :( I hate work travel! Really hoping I make it back to CT in time to pick up my damn cruise and see you both! They are cancelling flights left and right all evening (this was my rebooked flight after my original one was delayed earlier, that one eventually got cancelled also). I've checked into a La Quinta Inn near the airport and called Mohegan to cancel everything. :(. Flight home eventually got cancelled and they told me the earliest they could rebook me is Sunday. Sunday!?!? Wtf? Apparently, with all the wind and storms, a ton of flights cancelled everywhere and messed up everything. People are sleeping all over the airport. After being on hold with work travel agent, got last seat on an American flight through Philly tomorrow afternoon. Praying for no cancellation or delay. Most annoying part, if delta told everyone earlier the flight was cancelled (they said we were waiting on a crew to come in from another flight), I could have taken an 11:35pm out of here on Southwest. I officially Hate delta now, they are the worst and their agents suck!

I would have rented a car and considered that option but don't think I could stay awake or concentrate on driving 11 hours on almost no sleep. If I get to philly today and can't get out of there, I'll either rent a car or hop on a train. Hopeful American Airlines has their shit together better than Delta.
A partner I work with a lot out of our Chicago office was here in NY this week. His flight was cancelled and they couldn't put him on one until Sunday. And that was a no-go. So he drove through the night back home to Chicago!Quote:

Sorry to hear about the awful slotting @Nhcris. Hopefully you'll get to enjoy the cruise and turn bad slotting into a great vacation. I made it home and was in bed by 11pm. Still feel exhausted.
