You just change and rebook. It works exactly the same with points as with $$. Don't cancel, especially if have booked early bird as you will lose that.

I am finding some first class fares on Delta that are only $60-100 more than SWA each way. SWA better smarten up because this fat ass is choosing Delta more and more lately!

In Trey's case I would be tempted to book the flight to Denver as a one way, but I bet with Linda you could never do with just carry ons! You can't do it if you check luggage.

Have you looked at how many points it is for the flights you want to take? For me, 10,000 points doesn't do much since the flights I take are long. Generally a round trip is between 20,000 & 25,000...
