@Laurie, when you & foamy stayed at Harrah's in AC, did you earn a 1,000 in a day and where Harrah's offers as good as some of the other CET casinos?
@GG, you too, I know you stayed at Harrah's AC and has that marathon session. Did you get good offers from them?

If I wanted a time out, I would go back to kindergarten.
The other bonuses they offer are that if you hit 500 in a day, they give you and extra 250. The big one is if you make 2500 in a day, they give you a bonus of 5000, for a total of 7500 TC for that day. That's how we wrapped up diamond.
We had done a 1000 TC day at Harrah's AC in 2014 (to maintain our Platinum status) and got the bonus 1000. While we didn't get any big free play offers that I remember, we got more and better free room offers. Before that, we had not been able to get any free rooms at Caesar's, but after that, we got free ocean view rooms several times.
Yes we got the bonus in AC. I think their offers are as good as other properties for us. We haven't been back there for 2 years but still receive freeplay and other offers from them regularly.
And Borgata matches Diamond to the Black card if you ever go back there. Just get the freeplay ($100) once
500 in a day gets you just 125 bonus
No problem Ang. It was after a Joker shared their actual costs with us that we decided to try this.
First 1000 TC cost us $761.
Second 1000 TC cost us $858
The 2500 TC day cost us $2504.
Total cost was $4123 for this experiment minus the $650 of immediate FP we recouped. Overall cost was 34 cents per TC including bonus. Also we have received higher FP offers since then. It should be also noted that the Cleveland Horseshoe really only has the Ritz and FP to offer for incentive. No free drinks and no dining other than food court and buffet. Diamond dinner here is 4 buffet meals. Obviously we will go somewhere else. Also noted was that we only needed 11,500 TC at the time to reach Diamond and decided to do it to enjoy rest of 2015.
The slots we played were White Hot Sevens, QH 5 cent 9 line, QH 25 cent 5 line, Wild Red Sevens, Bonus Times, Haywire, and a couple other reel machines. No penny machines. For us this was mostly an endurance contest. About 8 hours for the 2500 TC. We were in good shape on the 2500TC day at the half way point and then went really cold and doubled our cost for last 1200 TCs. Luck ran out, but we had crossed point of no return and you never know when luck will return. White Hot Sevens was a dollar machine played at $2 per spin. The highest hit we had was $300 line hit on White Hot Sevens.
Financially is this worth it? Tough to say, but definitely a "feel good" thing. Being able to sit and relax in a Diamond Lounge is worth something. Rooms anytime we want. Also, fair to say we get treated better in Cleveland and AC than we do in Vegas.
Any other questions just ask. The more info we all have the better off we will all be.

The new offers aren't in yet and we hadn't been there for 2 or 3 years but it's $85 a week so we will see when the new offers come out.
Thank you all for your responses. Maybe I will try to make Diamond in 2016. I'll have my Chairmen club card at GN and if I can make Diamond I will finally be able to get a Black card at Borgata even if I didn't earn it there.
It seems like CET and GN earn their tier the same way and I've had six visits this year so far where I have earned over 1,000 tier, that would have gotten me to 12,000 tier alone, so I think I can do it and with the ability to stay at more casinos and how they offer airfare it may be my better gamble to take.

Thanks for that breakdown, i was curious about what it would take money wise to get to Diamond. I put in the time on the slots but I'm a low roller and knew I'd never accumulate enough points to make Diamond, so when I heard about the Founders Card offer I grabbed it. It ended up costing me $395 plus a one time entry fee of $95. I think we already matched that in food and drink via the Diamond lounge and Amphora while in AC last month!
