LOL, we sure do have a lot of foodie plans! Of course we both know you were going back to Vegas after April at some point in the year and likely more then once.

If your dates in September with your family are at the end of the month you should try to spend a day or two at G2E too.

The only steakhouses in Vegas I have been to are Prime at Bellagio which was excellent and Brand at Monte Carlo where I had a prime rib which was pretty darn good. Maybe I should try Cut this trip on Diana's recommendation.

sw at wynn was the best i've had. The chile rubbed ribeye for 2 simply amazing.
    Close 2nd prime at bellagio.

Hell could even be a tie. Sat on the rail right next to lake of dreams at sw. And sat on the small patio at prime lakeside so the ambience was top notch.

I've been to STK at Cosmo a couple of times. Had the small filet both visits. The actual meaty meat was great. And I like one of their signature drinks, the Green Intensity (also mentioned in the cock thread), a spicy martini-style basil/jalapeņo beverage that you can get made with either vodka or gin. But some of the sides -- like their special bread and their mushroom dish -- were kind of weird and not worth repeating. And the overall vibe is very strange, more like a nightclub than a restaurant. So dark it's hard to see your food, DJ playing extremely loud music, and swarms of people milling around in predatory fashion at the bar.

@Evoni I really enjoyed that dinner with you, Randy, and Terri at Charlie Palmer Steak (at Four Seasons) a couple of years ago. How does that place rank on your list these days?

Boots, I'm glad you mentioned Charlie Palmer as I've eaten there recently, during this year's New Year trip and then last year during Thanksgiving. It's a good restaurant with 2 bargain prix fixe menus, the Cut of the Week and as Mike mentioned the Michael Jackson prix fixe menu with both featuring a bottomless wine pairing. The Cut of the Week menu changes each week and is $48.00 per person with the MJ menu changing now and then at $49 per person. Also if you are dining with others who want to order off the regular menu they don't have that rule that everyone at the table has to be ordering the prix fixe if some want it and others don't. On certain days they also have a entertainment trio. I would put this on my list above as right under the first 3 restaurants I mentioned, but if someone is on a budget then it goes right to the top of the list. Their service and food at Charlie Palmer is very good!

Below is a cut and paste from my trip report when Mom and I ate there Thanksgiving week. If anyone wants to see the food porn that goes along with what I wrote, with a copy of the menus, it's in this trip report.

In addition to the regular menu Charlie Palmer has two great pre fixe menus that include wine pairings in the price and it's a fabulous deal! I ordered from the "Cut of the Week" menu and Mom from the Michael Jackson prix fixe.

Bread basket above and Mom's Roasted Squash Soup.

Loved my salad with Ambrosia Apples and Pomegranates. First time having Ambrosia apples, won't be the last.

Mom liked her Snapper with Israel Cous Cous.

Bone in Strip Steak with Onion Ragu was prepared perfectly.

We shared the sides (Nero Cavola Kale with Prosciutto and Sweet Potato Puree) that came with my prix fix as there was plenty for two or more.

I've had Mom's dessert of Chocolate Mousse Bar with Caramel Salted Ice Cream when I've eaten here before and know it's a yummy dessert.

My Pumpkin Cheesecake with Bourbon Ice Cream was wonderful, very light tasting for Cheesecake.

We were there on a Monday evening when they have live entertainment.
