For whatever reason the Motley Fool has a bunch of analysis of Vegas casinos. In this week's edition, they did an article on the worst reputations in Vegas.

Fair dinkum legend
I read that today but I didn't think luxor was that bad but I haven't been there in a long time
I used to LOVE Luxor when it was new and shiny. Such great quasi-Egyptian kitsch! Talking animatronic camels, and a virtual ride about pyramid power! But the shiny really wore off by the early 2000s. Remember George Clooney's quote about Luxor in the film Up in the Air? "The place is a shithole. Nobody stays there."
good read for when wife finally drives
Stayed at Luxor in the 90's and it was okay.... But we were with our young children and my folks. It was nothing special back then but I wasn't picky and the pool was great. We had a fabulous time and loved our stay.

Hmm interestinf read.. i wonder how mant years before mgm will take luxor and exalibur down? Maybe 10 years? What do you guys think?
only thing excal has going for it is if i am smashed walking back from mand bay it has a good food court for some quick alcohol absorbing food.
I posted another thread on your best casino hotel stay. Going on the opposite direction. my worst stay was at Harrahs Las Vegas. Room was tiny as hell and the room key needed to be inserted in the room to activate the AC. The worst part was the "free" water bottles in the room that were obviously so old they tasted of plastic.
