Planning stages for Biloxi & Pensacola area. Looking for some input

It looks like my finagling has worked and I got the opportunity to spend a couple nights in Biloxi next month! Right now I booked a comped Harrah's room, and resort fee there is only $10 so that hardly pisses me off - HHH. I have a Beau Rivage offer, but I don't think it will cover the Saturday night, although it includes free play.

I was there once overnight on a road trip. We stayed at Beau and really liked it. I prefer not to spend the money for a night, but I am wondering what to expect at Harrah's. Can anyone compare Harrah's to another property so I can make an educated decision?

The rough plan is to arrive in Pensacola on Saturday at 2PM, grab the rental car and drive to Biloxi which should take around 2 hours I think. We will spend Sat & Sun in Biloxi, and Monday either go back to Biloxi for (almost) free, or find a hotel somewhere closer to the Aviation Museum. Then on Tuesday we will drive to Orlando for the rest of the week.

I want to explore a little, so for me, I'd like to know which casinos are most fun and are any of them unique in any way? For Old Fart, er, I mean, DH, is there anything cool for him to do in or close to Biloxi? He is a history buff, and really into ships & aircraft. We are planning to spend the Monday visiting the Pensacola Naval Aviation Museum. Has anyone been there that could give us an idea of how much time to allot to that?

Any restaurant or other recommendations would be appreciated. I am really looking forward to this as it's time to do something a little different!

I think Mimi is Biloxi professional. Spends a lot of time there (I think).

Harrah's Gulf Coast is very small compared to the Beau Rivage, but if you have a rental car to get around, it won't matter. I haven't been to that Harrah's in a long time, but they did have some good video poker at one time. The Hard Rock Casino is next to the Beau Rivage and is in walking distance. If you want to drive another hour and a half, you can go to Harrah's New Orleans. Pensacola is close to me but I haven't been to the Aviation Museum. When will you be in Biloxi?

I smell a mini meet!! HHH IP is my preferred casino in Biloxi. Decent comps and great slot selection. Also, Scarlet Pearl just opened recently and has a pretty cool putt-putt golf course there from what I've heard. When you're on I-10 headed to Orlando, don't forget to wave when you pass by exit 203!

calling @Georgiagambler -this has your name all over it. Also @Michellelovesvegas was just in Biloxi. I have only stayed at the Beau Rivage.. so I can't offer you any advice except that the service and the hotel is great. You should call and talk to the players club and see if your offer will work for Saturday Night. It is about 90 minutes to New Orleans. There is a maritime museum in Biloxi https://www.maritimemuseum.org.

I have only stayed at the Beau Rivage, but have to say I absolutely loved it. Top notch service. It truly feels like you are at a smaller version of the Bellagio.
Almost forgot, the slot selection was fantastic!

We were at Harrah's in August. The room was clean and nice...nothing special. The casino is small and pretty tight when we were there. It was a quick overnight on way to Coushatta coming and going so we didn't get a chance to check anything else out. My friend goes all the time and stays at the Beau and loves it there. Imperial Palace is where another friend likes to stay and play.

Haha, all it took was a little encouragement and I have switched to the Beau. $89 for Saturday & comped Sun & Mon on the holiday weekend, so that worked out nicely

Mary, it will be Saturday, January 16. I would love to see you if it works for you!

We won't do NOLA, as I am one of the few people in the world that doesn't care for that city, but I will check out the Hard Rock for sure. I will definitely be looking for the best VP in Biloxi!

I have heard others mention IP and I think we passed it on our way into Biloxi from the west last time. I will put it on the list of places to check out along with the Scarlett Pearl. A little mini-golf might be a nice respite from the slot and something the old guy and I could enjoy together

Thanks so much! I sent DH the link to the museum and it looks like something he would enjoy for a couple hours. You convinced me to call MLife and I have changed my booking to Beau Rivage! I am already looking forward to it that much more
