The shrimp and crab au gratin is to die for IMO!

We stayed at the Beau one night. GN 3 nights. The Beau did give me some play, think I gave it all back though. Paytables on VP were terrible! The payables at the GN bars were good 9/6. Scarlett Pearl was really nice, due to being new. They are heavy into Aristrocrat. Played Gold Pays, Lighting Link, and a new one with the wheel. Played VP in the HL room on my matched FP. Each day, came back a winner from there.

Hopefully the weather will be nice for you. It was super windy while we were there and cold.

Drive down Hwy 90 towards Gulfport and check out the sculptures that have been carved out of trees lost during Katrina.
Great suggestions Mimi! I think Frank would really enjoy Ocean Springs and I definitely want to see the Katrina tree sculptures. I might just venture out for a Bloody Mary although I am still acquiring a taste for them. Maybe this will do it - HHH>

I would go again just because I love the seafood and the quaintness of the building.

I can't comment on the rest of Biloxi as we didn't venture far from the BR. I did get my only video slot hand pay there on WOZ!

Clearly we MUST try Mary Mahoneys! Rarely does a restaurant get that many mentions so I know it has to be fabulous. I looked at the menu and the local flavors look amazing. Yummy!

Thanks Zeus! I think I saw this place on one of the food channels, and had forgotten all about it. This will also go on our list! It looks like we will be eating very well!

I followed your report and that definitely helped get this Biloxi bee in my bonnet! You saw Daughtry right? I was jealous of everything you did- HHH!

Oh bummer Mary, I knew your cruise was coming up but I was hoping it was a different week. I am sure we will meet again soon, though Bon Voyage!

They have guided tours throughout the day plus a tour of the flight line behind the museum. They also have an IMAX theater but I think it's closing sometime in Jan for renovations. You can also visit the lighthouse across from the museum. It's not free but it's pretty cool. And there's also Fort Barrancas which is about half a mile east of the museum which is free to tour as well. They also offer guided tours. As far as Biloxi goes the Beau is nice but also the most crowded. I like the Golden Nugget and if your not smokers the Palace Casino (not the IP) is completely smoke free. If your into table games almost all of Treasure Bay's table limits start at $2. I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Thank you so much JerricaKimber! I shared this with my husband and now he is planning a full day at the Aviation Museum. I think he will spend Saturday night there and join me in Biloxi Sunday after he has explored every nook & cranny of the place. I would get bored and whiny after a couple of hours, so this will work out better. I will explore the Biloxi casinos that day without him tagging along whining. It's a Win - Win!

Since your going to have a car drive around, I love walking the beach and also seeing the trees in the median that Katrina damaged and local artists carved into sculptures. Since your going to be in Orlando, any plans to visit Tampa Hard Rock? If so let me know and I'll break my ban and meet you there
Thanks for the warning Darlene, I 'think' I have learned my lesson regarding the babies. But then, maybe not - HHH. We will definitely check out the Katrina trees. That sounds really cool! I don't think I will make it to Hard Rock this time as my Texas son will be meeting us in Orlando, and I will want to spend every minute with him even though he thinks gambling is not a good use of time or money, the little shit. I am looking at a cruise out of Tampa in the spring though, so if that works out hopefully we can meet up then for a good gamble at the HR!

Thanks Michele! Bummed to hear the vp at the Beau sucks. I was hoping to just relax at the bar for awhile. I definitely want to check out the Scarlett Pearl. I plan to bring a couple offers with me just in case they extend their matching thing. I expect it will be chilly, but hopefully warm enough to brave a walk on the beach. Your trip sounded like lots of fun, and coming home with money is always a win in my book!

Family time definitely trumps casino time. If the spring trip works out, we'll plan to meet and take no prisoners or should I say leave no cash behind.

I've never been to Biloxi. Just wanted to wish you good luck on the slots, and a great adventure for the whole trip. Keep the Old Fart happy and you will be happy, too!!

Btw I thinks the firecracker game you like is Gold Pays. They have 4 of them at Hard Rock near the players club. They are always full but every now and then I get lucky enough to play them.
