Have a great time and good luck. Pool area is very nice. No one really checks to see if you bring in your own booze or not. Casino and pool. Just keep stuff for pool in your pool bag. No beer cans or glass. Casino was very busy yesterday after 4 PM. Let's see some pics.

I was raised in San Diego, got married to my mid-west husband in San Diego and immediately moved here to Chicago some 43 years ago. When he was in the Navy everyone told him to take the bus to the beach. They said he could catch the LaHoya bus right outside the base gate. Well out he went and stood for 2 hours waiting for the LaHoya bus to pass. He soon gave up. He said he only saw buses going to LaJolla none to LaHoya. To this day I love him but remind him of his mid-western upbringing.

There are a lot of things I don't know and he reminds me of them but I get to tell him that LaJolla is the proper spelling. What does he know, he took German in high school.

ps..... please don't take this as an offense - it is a loving story I like to tell - he just was never exposed to the Spanish language.

And it is a beautiful drive!

Hi, we live in San Diego about 20 miles from Harrahs. Unfortunately, we have found Harrah's to be tighter than Pechanga, Valley View, and Pala. We really like Sycuan Casino in El Cajon--it seems looser than the others for us. My DH won $19,806 on a 88-cent bet in February 2015. We went there yesterday and came home with $700 betting low--the older Williams Machines (Unicorn, Great Eagle, Top of the Morning, etc.) were very good yesterday although we usually play Konami's most places. They have 2 huge rooms that are also nonsmoking. They also have an upstairs section that is good for older aristocrats. They also have a large smoking area. I've heard Barona is good too.

20k on .88 is unreal I bet you could have knocked him over with a feather.

88 cents sounds like the chinese babies. Am I right? I have seen quite a few people hit the maxi on the chinese babies only betting 88 cents. I hit the major once.

This makes me laugh real hard - my first time SD, probably age 17 saw the sign on I-5 and called it La Jolla (With a J as in Jolly, rhyming olla as in dolla make you holla)- had no idea where the heck LaHoya was either except it was near Black's Beach HHH...
