I've always had good wins on older aristocrats now that I think about it.. First time I won $115.00 on a $0.40 cent bet.

I wish I could find the $1 denom more easily too but those are getting real hard to find anymore it seems for Vegas props.

Yeah, agree on the higher denom. Even if you can find these games on nickles can be huge. One of my biggest wins was on a nickle Whales of Cash years ago.

I agree too, Rincon has some of the best selections of the older Aristo games too- they still have all the old games I used to love there, I can't think of a game they don't still have at least one of.

Speaking of the different buffalo versions in Nevada versus other places- anyone ever notice that the Timeberwolf games are much better in Nevada than other places? It seems the paytables are better, and they don't give the stupid 3 credits when you get 2 of the men. The reason that's a big deal is how many times on the 3x reel spin during the bonus do you get one of the men, so you get 9 credits instead of a respin. In Nevada that win doesn't count, so you get the re-spin and I have had some wins because of that.

Wow, I didn't know one could exist in Nevada!

Now that you have mentioned this, I can say that I agree 100% with you on Timberwolf. Granted my casino exposure is not as great as many of you because of outside of Vegas I really have only played it at Cherokee and Harrah's NKC, but boy have I seen the difference.

I'll be down on Fremont in a couple of weeks, hope I can find it without too much cost.

Also will spend another day at Tuscany near Bally's. Tons of old Aristo still in service

Hey gang, thanks for all the info. We'll be off to Rincon in a couple of hours and will try to play majority of these older machines and see how it goes.

One comment on Cleopatra. I've seen a lot of these appearing (again) but feel they don't play as well as older ones at the old Showboat in AC. Maybe they have been tweaked but haven't changed the name. Seems that this could be a trend with the manufacturers. Pompeii may fall into this also.

Not sure what your schedule is like, but Valley View is 4 miles from Rincon and has a great buffet. The casino was my favorite when I lived in San Diego years ago.
