    South Central OK Casinos?

We are picking up a load going to Ardmore, OK. We don't technically have a bankroll, but I might be able to convince DH to do a "we'll replace it next week" deal, and twist his arm/sit on him, whatever it takes, to do a casino stop.

Winstar is an option, but we never do too well there, and I usually leave with a bad taste in my mouth. But, I think we have a free room.

Riverwind has been a lot of fun in the past. We get a lot of play for our money. No freebies.

Choctaw Durant. We've only been once, probably more than 5 years ago. I think I remember having fun, but that was long before we were Strictly Aristo (with a Konami now and then).

Looking for suggestions, and we are open to one of the many smaller casinos in the area too. One requirement: It must have DH's "precious," (a la Gollum) Pompeii.

We make the trip up I-35 often. I agree about Winstar. It is just too big, but an overnight at the new towers would be nice. We have been to Winstar three times in the last month and have not done well. However, we were able to get lots of play at Riverwind. I've never been to Choctaw, so I can't help there. I think with a small bankroll, I would choose Riverwind. I don't play Pompeii, so I am sorry I cannot confirm that it has that game.

I think our room at Winstar is at the off-site hotel anyhow. We have never stayed there before either. But yeah, every time I walk out of there I vow never to return!

Riverwind does have Pompeii, and it's the first place I played Red Baron, winning $200 on a 50 cent bet. DH likes that place a lot, so it might be an easy arm twist!

    Thanks for your input!

I am heading to Winstar twice next weekend (Friday night and then again Sunday night), but I do agree I hate the size of the place. I love love love Durant. I have not been since they finished the HUGE upgrade, so I am excited to see the place in May.

Hmm, interested in what the upgrade is all about, as long as they don't expect me to pay for it in my first 30 mins there!

They added on a new hotel, opened a bowling alley and I think a laser tag. Think they added on to the slot floor also.

Brandon, thanks for the info. We went there so many years ago, I don't remember anything about it, so thank you for updating me.

If we do end up at Winstar tomorrow, I'll let you know. Maybe we can say hi. Are you going with your aunt and uncle?

Oh no not tomorrow, next Friday. Sorry. I'm meeting my brother there. Then that Sunday I'm going solo as I have to be in Dallas on work duties that following day.
