    Casino Mail

    Morning All,

I'm looking to further my casino going education yet again!

I see a good few references to casino mailers but haven't ever actually seen any. It's never been a huge concern of ours as we don't get any post from casinos and obviously never a concern of the casinos as we're that far away it isn't particularly sensible to be inviting us back every other weekend.

Obviously though, that is about to change. We will alter our address to reflect our new deserty habitat when we land in Vegas so we expect to start seeing some casino mailshots. Are these additional to the website offerings or better in any way? I don't know what to expect from them at all.

We have only been interested in the MILF program thus far and we have access to that website and get our offers there so that's no problem. Our intention is to definitely gain access to the comparative site with Total Rewards as well and possibly others if it makes sense to do so. We do get regular emails from Venetian/Palazzo, Treasure Island and occasionally Wynn/Encore but that's normally just a monthly special rate deal that isn't particularly attractive.

    Cheers,

    Billy

Our experience is that we receive at least 10 offerings through mail from CET each week, plus emails on top of that. With MLife it seems to be more quarterly with some emails in between. A lot of our offerings are found on their website without even receiving mailers. I cannot speak on V/P or Wynn since we have yet to give them any play. But I feel in time you will find plenty of offers in your mailbox once you have an established address in the states.

@Wynnvegas "MILF" program? Now there's a program that I wouldn't mind getting frequent offers from....hhh

I get a lot of mail from CET. Some of it is related to the Ohio locations and that will be stopping since they've both left CET now. I get a lot for Vegas, like several a week. A lot of them are for offers that I have already seen online. But I also get many from TR Air for junkets. Some of those are online but I don't think all of them, not that I've compared but it seems like I get way more pieces of mail on these than I see listings on TR online. I also receive mail for other CET locations, some I've been to, some not. Many offers I see 3 ways - snail mail, email and on TR online. The ones I have been to send me more, and have continued to send things even though I've only visited those locations once, it's been quite a while, and they're some distance from my home.

I have not played MLife much - just a bit at Bellagio on most of my Vegas trips - and I receive from them a quarterly magazine as well as numerous emails. I don't watch the website much so I'm not sure what duplication there is. The better offers have always come through emails. I also sometimes get mailers for other MLife non-Vegas locations that are closer to my home than Vegas.

I have also played some at Cosmo but have never received anything from them.

I am sure that once you have a US address that your mailbox will be full of offers.

I also sometimes receive casino offers from non-chain casinos that I have never been to, that aren't day trip distance from my home but within a couple hours drive that I guess it would be possible to go there for a weekend trip. I'm assuming that somewhere I played sold them a mailing list. I've never taken advantage of any of these but they still come every so often.

For non-Vegas locations, all the local places I've gone to deluge me with mail, both email and snail. One place is a Hollywood casino and they mostly send emails but I only get offers for the Hollywood casino I played at, never the other ones, except for a nice offer from Tropicana in LV when they moved to Marquee Rewards. The locals, in my experience, tend to send monthly offer books and other individual offer mailers for a few months after you've visited, then if you don't go back they stop monthly books but will then send a "come back" offer later in the future.

    Thanks Zeus,

10 a week is a bit hardcore! I was thinking something close to one a month would be the norm.

    Cheers,

I'm too far gone now to give it its proper name slotbender. It'll always be MILF to us.

    Thanks a lot pkspins,

I expect we'll sign up at the local casinos to see what they're offering but it isn't our plan at all to give them a whole lot of play. They'll need to work hard to tempt us in. It seems a wee bit cheeky to sell your name and address to other casinos or chains but I suppose that's becoming the norm.

I suspect a whole lot of our visitors will touch down in Vegas as it's that much easier to do from Scotland than Phoenix is so having some additional hotel options is part of the plan.

    Cheers,

    Billy

Basically, the offers that are delivered by the US Postal Dept will be no different from the offers that are online, with the exception of a few CET casinos. Some of those send out the FP offers in paper TITOS and ONLY through the mail....Harrahs in N Kansas City and Harrahs in Joliet Illinois, to name a couple.

Like Zeus, I get ten to twenty offers a week through the mail and I'm sure my mailman thinks I have a gambling problem lol.

The postal service might have to shut down if CET ever goes to strictly e-mail offers. Like others have mentioned my mail box get about 10 offers a week from CET. Most are from venues I have visited but some are just trying to lure me to a new location.

I get offers on a quarterly basis from those casinos in Vegas that I might have visited 1 time (getting their rewards card of course). Sams Town sends me free room offers even though I was only there for a few hours over 1 1/2 years ago.

Just wait it will be hard to keep track of all those offers.

As we only pick up our mail periodically, I can't say how much we get daily or weekly. But monthly I would estimate we get probably 120 each. (I think that's why they threatened to close our box if we didn't rent the biggest one upon renewal!)

Harrah 's Gulf Coast and (wait for it.. @goldengreeke) Isle of Capri Bettendorf Iowa send at least 15-20 each- so 30-40 total.

What gets me is what a pure waste it is, in both trees & postage. And you gotta love the fancy cards and invites for special events. Grrr.

I should mention that for those players clubs that have online access, we do get a fair amount of mailers with offers not found online. And vice versa.

Yeah, once you are here and have a US address, expect mail to come often from EVERY casino that you go to and sign up for a card. CET mails the most, I get offers weekly from each of their casinos- Ak Chin, Laughlin, Reno, various Las Vegas properties, etc. But I get stuff from the Wynn still and haven't played there in years, and offers from each of the local casinos here with freeplay and food money, free gifts, slot tournaments, etc. I look forward to getting the mail each day to see what's there but it does pile up at home! I actually get some really nice freeplay offers from the local casinos here, they just tempt me to go though.
