    Cruising to Bermuda Next Month

I'm seeking advice from any Jokers who have either cruised to Bermuda or vacationed there in the past. Next month is our cruise, I'm trying to schedule our 2.5 days we'll have there. What are the must sees and any advice on how you got around the island (excursions, cabs, buses, etc. I'm a family of 5 and I saw that the cabs said they only accept 4 passengers! Any advice is appreciated.

I know we are going to Horseshoe Bay Beach but would you recommend us going the 2nd day there instead of the first? Do you think it would be less crowded the 2nd day?

Has anyone done the Wednesday Night Festival in Hamilton? Is it worth leaving the ship to walk around there. Did anyone eat dinner there and was it really good?

Thanking you for your tips and advice.

If I wanted a time out, I would go back to kindergarten.

I think I have a cruise report here from our bermuda trip last summer. Check that out for some ideas, and I will follow up with you when I get home from this beat down at foxwoods.

oops, never mind. I guess I failed at that one. I might have posted it on Cruise Critic but if not, I have lots of pictures and suggestions.

@Nhcris, thanks! I am a little overwhelmed with what to go with and what to do, I would appreciate and value your advice.

Hi. We are going next month too. I have been there more than 10 times. I highly recommend getting the bus passes. Hop on a bus and watch the country side go by. Stop where you like, look around and catch the next bus. We love the aquarium, the Crystal caves are magnificent. Confederate museum very interesting. Shopping on Front Street Hamilton. Marks and Spencer department store almost straight. Out of Are You Being Served. There is so much to see and do. Church Bay is a beautiful beach.

How long would it take by bus to get from King's Wharf to Horseshoe Bay Beach? Is it really as crowded at Horseshoe Bay Beach as people say and is it worth going there or should we just go to other beaches?

I want to go to Crystal Caves but not certain that my husband will, I may have to separate from him one day and take a kid or two with me.

Horseshoe is always crowed but is big enough to accommodate a lot of people. It is a must see if you have never been to Bermuda before. I would definitely go to the caves even if your husband doesn't go with you. As far as the time on the bus, I am not sure. However you can look up any times on the bus schedule which gives pretty accurate times. Get a copy of the current schedule as soon as you get to the Dockyard..

Getting excited, we leave next Sunday. Question to the frequent cruisers on here, do the casinos really seem to be more loose the first few nights of the cruise? I'm thinking of using a fare share of my BR the first night playing $1 reels and hope to get lucky early on???
