Welcome, Selene! I'm from the Bay Area also (Kensington...adjacent to Tilden Park), spent many summers at Tahoe, and ended up in the Seattle area. Evoni is the rock star of Vegas blogs, with her adventures, slot videos, and food porn, and I think a lot of us have tried new restaurants and slot machines because of her. You will feel comfortable here, it's like a big, crazy, welcoming family.

It seems that there's a fair wee collective of jokers up in your neck of the woods. I'm reliably informed that it's so much easier to co-ordinate schedules and meet in Vegas though!
