Back from NCL Breakaway - Good Wins

I'm back from my cruise from NYC to Bermuda and I'm warning you this will be long winded, so if you don't want to read it, then scroll through to see my slot hits.

I've been eating clean since February and lost 25 pounds and guess what...the first thing I did when I got home was weigh myself and I gained 10 pounds!!! Shit, I'm hoping 5 comes off in a day or two since I had the unlimited drink package and drank A LOT!

For anyone who hasn't cruised from NYC, leaving from this terminal is an experience, here we are passing by the Statue of Liberty
and going under the Verranzano Bridge. For any Saturday Night Fever fans, this is the bridge Tony & his friends walk on and pretend to jump from.

We had beautiful sunny weather on Sunday and my family enjoyed the pool area until 7 pm that night. After eating a casual dinner at the buffet and checking my youngest in at the kid's club, we started playing in the casino.

I played a slot I haven't ever seen in any land based casino but on a $3.00 max bet I got 8 of the bonus symbols for the progressive and it paid $306.00. I also played a lot of $1.00 Quick Hits for $5.00 and I got 2 $100.00 line hits and a bonus for $312.00.

Monday was an at sea day, the weather was nice and we all enjoyed the pool again, poolside games, drinks and food. Me and my daughter saw Burn the Floor, my husband and older son saw a comedy show and my little guy was again at the kid's club. After I hit the casino and the whole night bombed! I didn't have one picture worthy hit and lost a lot! The free drink plan made losing so much easier to forget!!!

Tuesday was another at sea day, daytime packed with family time, my kids went to the Cirque show and really enjoyed it, me and my husband had a nice dinner together, lots of martinis at the Martini Bar and I had my best earning night of the week.

The following hits are a QH bonus for $244, a $104 line hit on Better Off Ed at $3.00 a spin, a $200 line hit on QH and then I moved to a penny QH Fever slot and at max bet for $3.00 I hit 6 QH's for $204.00. I definitely didn't have some of my best hits of the trip but I had a lot of smaller hits that kept me playing and I earned 1200 tier for the night.

Wednesday we docked at Bermuda and took a 30 minute, very hot and crowded public bus ride to Horseshoe Bay Beach. Talk about beautiful! The water was so nice I stayed in the ocean with my kids all day.

The ride back from the beach on the public bus seemed even longer after being out there from 10 am to 5 pm, there weren't too many people left on the beach at that time, it actually cleared out by 2/3:00 pm! After being at the beach for long we decided to just stay on the ship instead of going back out by ferry to Hamilton for the Street Festival. That night I had 2 good hits but lost a lot again. I got a $462 bonus on $1.00 QH playing $5.00 a spin and I hit the triple 7's for $500.00!!! But everything else was just lose, lose, lose!

After taking the hot long bus rides on Wednesday, my kids wanted to stay close to the ship on Thursday so we walked over to a man made beach near the ship, Snorkel Park Beach. We had fun there, I kayaked in the ocean with my boys, I am the more adventurous one out of me and my husband so I did the kayaking! Luckily we stayed close by because around 2:00 pm it down poured and we ran back to the ship.

That night me, my 18 year old daughter and husband went to the outdoor glow party. You only have to be 18 to legally drink beer and wine on the ship so we let my daughter have a few drinks when we were out at night. We danced all night until 1:00 am and had a good time! My feet were blistered the next day from dancing in my wedge heels, geez, I am definitely starting to feel my age! The moon over Bermuda.

After dancing and drinking my daughter picked my son up and me and my DH went to the casino. I had a bonus on this slot? that paid $121 and a $200 line hit on QH.

Friday the ship was leaving Bermuda by 3:00 so we wanted to stay close by. My youngest loves history and he wanted to go to the National Museum of Bermuda. We had a really nice day and learned a lot about the history of Bermuda. Here is a picture from The Commissioner's House looking out at the Royal Dockyard.

    Leaving the port...

This was pretty wild, we were about an hour away from Bermuda and a small plane flew right over the ship, we were a level above the pool and I thought the plane skimmed right over us! Then it flew over the ship a 2nd time, it circled around a 3rd time and flew right next to us, it said Marine on the side.

Later that night, the $1.00 Quick Hits were starting to kick my ass and I decided to change it up and starting playing Dynamic 7's by Konami. This slot became my ATM for the last 2 nights. The max bet is $2.65 and I hit a bonus for $317, another bonus for $185 and I hit the Maxi for $100. I ended up even Friday night and I had a few hundred left to play with on my last day.

Saturday was our last at sea day and the weather was cloudy and rainy but we were busy all day with our youngest son being in the kid's show at the Theater and then we all went to the comedy show and hibachi for dinner that night. Afterwards, me and my husband went to the casino, I wanted to earn another 1,000 tier to make it to the Hot level. Thankfully my Dynamic 7's slot played with me and I earned my 1,000 tier on this slot alone.

I got 4 blue 7's for a $250 hit, a bonus for $292, another bonus for $130, while in my 3rd bonus I got 5 blue 7's for $500 and that bonus paid $553 and my last bonus paid $250.00. Prior to my 1st bonus I was losing and I had to withdraw $200 from my room to play on the slots (btw, this is way too easy!!!). I was down to my last $50 and thought I was going to withdraw more in my chase for 5,000 tier and then my bonuses started to hit. At one point I was up to $1150 but I ended up $800 after making the 5,000 tier which was really $600 up since I withdrew $200.

By the end of the cruise I lost about 80% of the BR I took with me but I'm hoping I will earn a comped cruise. Me and my husband really want to get away by ourselves later this fall, this way if we fly out of FL it won't be so bad if we only have to get airfare for 2 instead of 5. We also paid $500 for 2 later $500 deposits to use in the next 4 years and received $250 in onboard credit for this cruise. If I get a comped cruise you can apply the $500 to port charges and taxes.

I was told by the Players Club late last night that they would be giving me a $170 credit from my play but I didn't see it removed from my statement this morning, so I may have to call them tomorrow. If anyone knows how this works please let me know if this is typical?

After this cruise my husband and I have decided we are really going to try to have one alone vacation a year and then one family vacation, we consider a week at the Jersey shore a family vacation. If I can earn a comped cruise from playing on NCL cruises then maybe we can make this a reality. I figure it's relatively easy to make Chairmen at the GN and once I hit my 10,000 tier, I'll take it easy there so I can save up a nice BR for a yearly cruise with my husband.

I earned 5,000 tier only playing about 1.5-2 hours a night on a family cruise so I'm thinking I could earn double that on a cruise with just my husband. Any additional info from anyone on here that cruises often and earns comped cruises would be greatly appreciated.

I hope you enjoyed my long winded cruise report, if you even made it to the end!

If I wanted a time out, I would go back to kindergarten.

BB, it sounds like a great time was hsd by all. Your pics of Bermuda were fantastic! And you really had some nice wins. Great job on earning the tiers you did! From what I have heard others say, your play should result in free cruise offers coming your way. Thanks for the great report!
