    Hollywood Casino Jamul CA

Hi, Hollywood Casino Jamul CA (Near San Diego) is opening soon. Wondered if Hollywood Casinos are any good?

From mine and others here experience, in general, no. Beautiful properties, but crappy payouts and comps. If it's owned by Penn National, which I assume it probably is.

They may let you win a little during the first couple of weeks of opening to get your juices flowing but after that look out. I can tell you this from personal experience with a Penn National property that I used to frequent - THEY SUCK!

Isn't this that NA casino that had been planned for years but kept getting blocked by the towns around it? I don't have a lot of experience with Hollywood Casinos myself, but never heard anything good, although this would be one they don't own just manage like CET does with Rincon, Ak Chin, etc.

Hollywood St Louis is one of my locals, nice casino, lots of game choices, crappy payouts. Great food choices - awesome steakhouse which is one of the reasons we started to go. Used to be a Harrahs. I get better play at my other local, so have basically stopped going here, other than to play the free play.

    Penn National does own it

Hi, thanks for the info. Since Penn National does own it sounds like it will be a "Dud." By the way my maiden name was Penn but of course that doesn't mean anything.

Is this casino going to have slots too or is it another casino with just poker?
