**Warning*** Long rambling post with very few pics and as usual, lots of cussing in theory about my cruise, but now that I re-read, not so sure ☺***
So in April I turned the big 50. This upcoming birthday had initiated the feeling of impending doom since about Dec. So I made a few lifestyle adjustments and planned my Fuck it I'm still Fabulous and Holy Shit I'm Fucking Fifty cruise instead of some stupid birthday party where people bring me a cane and diapers.
Lifestyle changes - apparently Feb was D - Day in Feb I: 1. Joined a Anytime fitness (of course, see I saved a little $ because I canceled my membership at the gym at work that I have been paying for and not going for years)
2. Went to get the girlie Dr. (Hadn't been for years, I know bad Nurse...do as I say, not as I do)
3. Got my overdue (by 3 years) mammogram (ladies is it time?)
4. Became a skin care consultant for Rodan + Fields. (Call me, I can hook you up 😃
5. Lost 5 more lbs
March: exercised so much the previous month I need to take a break so I could walk on my cruise the following month. Knee and elbow were trashed. Gained 7 lbs. Skin looks awesome!
April: Holy shit I am turning 50? Work 60+ hour work weeks so I can take one week off later in the month. Too tired to limp into the gym and pretend to exercise. Gained and lost the same 3 lbs about 6 times. At least my skin looks good.Then...
My Birthday came and went and I didn't feel any different. I turned 50, but I realized I only felt old and tired because I was killing myself trying not to feel old and tired.
So...now it was cruise time and I felt free. I wanted no plans, just fun. We were supposed to meet another couple, but they couldnt come so it was just Barry and I. It was really good for us. With my daughter and her crew living with us we needed a break.
To save $ I let HIM talk me into an interior room, let me just say NEVER AGAIN!! But Fuck it, I was on a cruise right?! We were in the Freedom and left out if GalvestonNo pics of our shitty room because, well...it was shit 😊

First stop was Key West. So since I was on the me not giving a Fuck tour...we did a pub crawl. If was absolutely a blast and we met an awesome group of people we hung out with off and on through out the cruise. I had never been on a stumble before and I actually really did stumble back. Most if these cups in the pics were mine I'm afraid
First stop was Freeport Bahamas, no pics but we did a beach a booze thing. As I had been working on my alcohol tolerance I continued at the beach. Had the best time ever. On the ride back I sat next to a couple who actually was not on our ship, but was very interested. I was drunk and a bit bit chatty, so started talking to him and his wife. Found out they were from Croatia. Now picture this guy. Guy looks very Daniel Craig -James Bond...kinda small but very muscular, sexy accent and had these knife and skull tattoos up and down his arms. He tells me they are in vacation for 3 months! I ask him what he does and he "claims" he is a retired "builder" and this huge story...there is no way I am buying this, all my drunk ass could think is "no way you are a mafia dude, right?" Over and over it is going in in my head...6 strong ass drinks on the beach...Nope, I kept my shit straight and had a lovely conversation about the differences between us and them kinda thing...and they knew I was drunk and the whole van was listening and laughing. The who gives a fuck tour continues.
Last stop was Nassau, thought I was going to be there the same time as Derrick but had my dates messed up. Again I didn't take any pics but B did I and I will steal some from his phone when he gets home later today. We didn't do an excursion, one if the gals on the stumble just recommended taking water taxi over to Atlantis and just check it out, and that's exactly what we did. They wanted like $200 a person for a day pass. Hell to the No thank you 😊 we got on a rickety boat and packed in to the front "no smoking"section (meaning less engine exhaust) I actually found myself next to the captain of our vessel who was a very religious man that asked someone to leave his boat for saying "Shit"so needless to say I was on my best behavior. I had a wonderful conversation with him the whole way over about him and what it is like living in Nassau. See the boat was not his, and he some day was going to have his own boat and take care of it because if you take care of it like you do your women it will always take care of you. He told me some day he would own his own boat and business and I believe him. That gentlemen got a $20 tip slipped to him and hug. At first when we were planning this cruise I was disappointed that Barry's cousin and his wife weren't going, but I am happy that they didn't go. I think my favorite part of this cruise was that because there wasn't another clue there that we were require to interact with I interacted more with Barry and with people around me. I guess that's why I don't have a bunch of pics. My favorite part was the people.
Oh gambling...it sucked at first so I sat down at the quarter pushers and had a fabulous time playing with a bunch if crazy people. Eventually we started winning at the slots too towards the end will post pics if Barry got them. Probably ended up getting $1500 total towards the end, which promptly went towards my bill ☺ OK so Big B came home sent me a bunch of pics, sadly we just didn't take our phones with us to the casino so no casino shots but here's a couple more pics from Nassau
