    Illinois Joins the 21st Century!

Apparently Illinois legislatures have finally approved downloadable FP! We just got a mailing from Joliet announcing downloadable FP! Not that we play much there (as we prefer Horseshoe Hammond) but it is nice not to have to remember to take the mailing with you just to access your FP.

Curious - I wonder how many state run casinos (other than in Nevada) allow for comped alcohol? And what if any NA casinos comp alcohol? Mmmmmm hijacking my own thread!!

I may have started the Hijack... Mississippi & NJ Does and I think Council Bluff and KC may give free Drinks in the Diamond Lounge..At my local Indian Casino the drinks are not free but I can buy them with comp points....I was told that ILL does not even allow that

Ah yes if Illinois allowed drinks to be bought with points they would lose out on their share of the taxes! We can't have that! In fact I know it's been mentioned here before but Illinois still charges and entry fee (which the casino pays). That's why they stamp your hand if you leave the casino floor so they don't have to pay a second fee. Hey we are a very broke state.

In Missouri, I can use my comps for Alcohol, never been able to do that in Illinois. The Queen in Illinois has had downloadable FreePlay for a few years so maybe it just some of the Chicagoland casinos that are behind the times?

OH I did not know that, I assume you mean the Grand Victoria casino. I remember when I asked a host in Joliet he told me the state wouldn't allow it. Well he was wrong (although that was quite awhile ago).

Let me make sure my comment came out right - The Casino Queen in East St Louis - right across the river from Missouri- has had downloadable Freeplay for a few years. I know this because I have played there since we moved to Missouri about 13 years ago. This casino will not allow me to use my comps for Alcohol.

The other place I play is Hollywood in Maryland Heights, Missouri. Here, I can use my comp dollars for alcohol at dinner.

Sorry for any confusion my previous post might have caused.

Thanks, I erroneously thought of The Grand Victoria, my error. I wonder what took CET so long to change to downloadable (since the state has allowed if for a few years) when they already had their Ind. casino set up with it? Oh well glad they caught up.
