    Coming to grips with Longhauling

Dollars are down for taxis. Probably due to uber and lyft since visitor traffic in Vegas is up.

Here's a pic of article from LV review journal. Maybe someone can post a web link. (Hands tied by Apple)

    Thank you Uber!

After using both in Vegas, I can say I'll never use a taxi again. Just sitting at traffic lights forever watching that meter run cured me! All my Uber drivers were great.

Taxis made need to look at their business model to remain competitive and start charging a flat fee rather than a timed one

Adding those punishments will deter taxis from longhauling. But what about cleanliness and talking on phone?

Without long hauling occasionally, drivers may not be able fund running their air conditioner or at least enough to keep fat boys cool. In Vegas and New Orleans, how in the world can the driver not run A/C on high when they have a fare and roll up the darn window.
