    Calling all Cherokee Experts!

As part of our road trip next month, I am planning to stop at Cherokee. It will likely be for one night mid-week, with a late afternoon arrival and an early morning departure. I am showing comped rooms in Mountain, Soco and Creek Towers. Which one would be nicest and most convenient to the casino? Also, is there a particular restaurant you would recommend for dinner?

    Thanks Jokers!

As a matter of fact we are less than an hour away from Cherokee. As for towers, the Creek Tower is the newest. Great rooms, but no tub if you prefer one. The SoCo Tower is the next newest tower. Rooms are just like Creek, but have shower/tub combo. Shower does not have the best water pressure sometimes. It is a little closer to the casino and restaurants than Creek Tower. I have never stayed in the Mountain Tower.

For dinner it is pretty much Ruth's Chris or Brio. Brio is pretty solid. They do also have a buffet, but not sure of days open since we do not do buffets.

The Diamond Lounge is very nice. It is inside the HL room. Drinks are not free due to state law, but they are only $2-3 each.

Casino is very nice. 150,000 square feet, same as Aria. Normally don't win squat there, but it is a fun place.

I agree with everything zeus said. I'll add - skip the buffet. It has a decent selection but I've always found everything flavorless. The Selu Garden cafe has a small breakfast buffet which is reasonably priced and includes a fantastic omelette station. I have breakfast there each morning during my trips. The casino is very large and always clean. The employees are friendly and Ive always found the customer service to be fantastic. Enjoy your stay. I'll be there May 4 through 6.

Thanks you guys, that is awesome and very helpful information! I was going to book Soco, but when I put in my preference for 2 queens it disappeared, so I have booked Creek Premium. And now I see your picture, I am very happy with that!

@zeus, we usually eat pretty light on road trips, so Ruth Chris may not be the best choice for us. What type of restaurant is Brio? No Diamond Lounge for me. Kenny & I wear our Platinum status with pride - haha!

@Elf70, do you know if the Sea Garden Cafe is open 24 hours? We are likely to hit the road by 6am, and would love to be able to grab breakfast before we leave!

I expect we will be there on May 17 for the one night, although I booked 17/18 just in case. I know it's midweek, but if any Jokers can make it over there, I would be over the moon!

    Calling all Cherokee Experts!

The cafe opens at 6 or 7 am and closes after lunch. Definitely not 24 hours. There is a food court in the casino that had a Dunkin' Donuts and a Johnny Rockets which had breakfast sandwiches. Not sure of the hours off the food court. Maybe Zeus can check since he's lucky enough to be there now. (So jealous!)

Brio is sort of American/Italian. A little bit of everything. You can eat light or heavy there and be happy.

Hey, Chrissy! I was going to mention the Selu Garden, as well. And the buffet is very good!! They also have a food court with The Earl of Sandwich, Johnnie Rockets, and Dunkin Donut along with various other snacks available. The Soco tower is the oldest, but it was newly renovated a couple of years ago. Let me know what night you will be there and I'll see if I can get away for a night.

DW, I would absolutely love to see you! We have booked Wednesday & Thursday, the 17th & 18th of May at Cherokee. We probably won't arrive until early evening on the 17th as we will be driving up from Biloxi. I hope you can make it!
