Slot Floor- Emerald Princess in Alaska

Just returned from my fifth Alaska cruise on the Emerald Princess cruise ship and they have redone their slot floor with all new machines. Nice variety of games with a very well ventilated non-smoking side of the casino and the casino is 100% smoke-free on formal night. As expected, typical cruise line paybacks and all 94% VP payback machines along with the scam skill-look-a-like Casino Vault games (illegal on most land-based jurisdictions). Had a fantastic time on the cruise and recommend anyone take an Alaskan Cruise if you can. See slot floor video:

Thanks @Slotspert. It looks nice and spacious, and has a pretty decent variety of machines for a cruise ship. It looks much more interesting than the Grand Princess I was on in March.

I hope you don't mind, but I moved this post to the "CRUISIN Yeah!" section of the forum so folks will find it when they are checking out our cruise info.

July is the peak fishing month with Ketchikan being the Salmon capital of the world and you can literally pick up the salmon by hand in the streams in that town because there are so many spawning.

Looks like a decent casino. At first I thought all they had were the asian themed slots that I can hardly ever have luck on. But then saw a nice variety. A little shocked that they had that much open space in it though.

An Alaskan cruise is on my list, but believe it will be a few more years after I retire. Thanks for posting!

The casinos on most most of the older cruise ships has been reduced dramatically. Some (like on the Cunard Ships) have even gone as far as taking an entire section of the casino and converting it into single-occupancy mini staterooms. The trend is for the mega-ships 4000+ passengers to continue to have more elaborate casino slot floors and reduce the size and slot count on the smaller ships.
