I just thought I would do a quick update (oops it turned into a very long sob story) on our Bermuda cruise that was to be followed by the AC M&G.

So, on Saturday July 29th we dropped the pups off at camp and headed to the New England Air Museum as planned. Traffic sucked and it took almost 3 hours but we had plenty of time to enjoy it and saw everything we were interested in. It's a good take and I would recommend it.

After a stop at Blue Colony Diner for dinner, we spent the night at the Ethan Allen Hotel in Danbury, CT. I wouldn't hurry back but it served the purpose.

We left there about 8 am and traffic was nice and light. We arrived at the port and parked in the parking garage and were onboard by 11:30. We had a quick uninspired lunch in the buffet. Then we wandered the ship for awhile until the staterooms were ready. I had selected one of the Sweet Sixteen cabins, which are located forward and happen to have double depth balconies. The room was small but the balcony made up for it.

After the lifeboat drill, Frank was feeling a little off and very tired so he took a nap. He slept through dinner, so at about 8:45 we grabbed a bite at the buffet. It was even more uninspired than lunch but whatever. I had visited the casino for a little while, but it was boring and I left after it took $50. We turned in early.

Next morning I woke up to a phone call from the Medical Office. My darling husband had snuck off to medical without telling me. Long story short, they thought he had a kidney stone. Well, he was in agony. After a couple IV's, they sent him back to the room with pain meds and antibiotics. He didn't tolerate the meds well, and I am going to just say that the next couple days were sheer hell as we were at sea until Wednesday. oh, and it fucking poured all day Tuesday so I couldn't eveN sit on the balcony.

With zero assistance from Celebrity, I made flight arrangements to get his ass home to his doctors. Somewhere in here, my feet went to shit (probably from running back and forth to the buffet trying to find food for frank) and I since figured out it was planter fasciitis. NOT FUN!

Going through Immigration and getting to the airport in Bermuda was pretty unpleasant. I so wanted to jump out of the cab and into the water, I cannot even tell you. Walking up the jetway my feet hurt so bad, I was moaning "Shit fuck piss sonofabitch" with every step. Someone surely thought I had Tourretes Syndrome. We finally made it home Wednesday evening, and Thursday we saw his doctor and had a CT scan where it was confirmed that he had a kidney stone. Next day we saw the urologist, and were told that it was in a position that lithotripsy wouldn't work, and there was a good chance that he could pass it.

Meanwhile, my car is in New Jersey. I had already screwed poor clemi over as she was planning to go to AC and then ride with me to MoSun and I was dropping her off at the airport in Boston for her flight home. Poor Thelma (Carol) was planning on meeting me in Newark to get away for her first vacation since her dad passed and she took over as full time caregiver for her mom.

Well, by Saturday he had not passed the stone so Carol and I cancelled all reservations. My car was still sitting in NJ. Damned if Sunday morning at 9:15 he didn't pass that son of a bitching stone who we christened Rocky.

I jumped on the horn with Jet Blue and they gave me full credit for Frank's flight and the flight I had previously booked. I can't say enough about how helpful they were every single time I called them with a change. I booked Carol and I on a flight and she had gone online and grabbed us a room (again) at Harrahs and within an hour she picked me up and we headed to Logan.

Damn flight was delayed over an hour, so by the time we got the car out of the creepy garage (absolutely no one was anywhere on property and it took us a bit to find the automated checkout but eventually we did). We got to AC just after 8 which was too late for the M&G. SO we gambled and lost haha. As the evening progressed, we ran into most of the Jokers (Laurie & Foamy, Kenny, Ida & Kevin, Mimi & Jeff, Kathy & Adam, curlyd, and the Penguins, and possibly more) that were staying at Harrah's. They were all pretty surprised to see us!! I was so exhausted I forgot to take pictures but it was wonderful to get so many Joker hugs

Monday I thought I would be smart and surprise the Borgata folks, as I had decent free play over there at noon. Well, you can guess how that went, right? We were at Borgata and they had gone to Harrahs. After running in circles trying to hook up, I never did get to see @Borgatadd, @emmas, Margie, or any of the other Borgata Brats. Dumb move on my part to try to surprise them! I did walk away with a little over $100 win on my free play though

Thema and I did have a lovely lunch at NOW and then headed to the Boardwalk to hit up Bally's and Caesar's for a wee bit of Stumble, and saw just a very few Jokers. I made a bit at Bally's and gave it to Caesar's. Then we Ubered back to Harrahs while the gang enjoyed Carmine's. Later that evening I was heading to bed and finally ran into a few more Jokers on the way. Lillian, Rob & Naomi, jennifer, I am so happy we at least got to say Hi!!

Carol & I hit the road early Tuesday and stopped at Foxwoods for the night. Gambling there was atrocious as usual. Wednesday morning we stopped at Twin River and I won a few bucks on my Free Play, then dropped Carol off in Central Parking at Logan (I could do a whole trip report about that little excursion but I will spare you) and I came home and crashed.

Old Frank is doing fine! My car is in the driveway and this is all just a memory now. I sure as shit hope the next M&G goes a little more smoothly!
