@LowAndSlow that table and chairs set was a long slow process. Started stripping it last week. Then sanded, then stained and it had multiple coats of poly. The legs were not bad to paint , nor was the apron. The chairs were awful.. and took so much time. 3.5 hours on 3.5 chairs. Shop owner Lacy finished the chairs yesterday and moved it

The Buffett I stripped at home before moving to the shop. Painted last night. Sanded and stained the top, and we tried Poly in the spray gun yesterday and that worked well.

I get off early today.. so going to start tackling this stuff

Well, in my world, that's lightning quick (and believe me, I am in awe at how you can do it). I have a set of chairs in my basement that are similar, maybe just a tiny bit more ornate, and they are heavy. I bought them at a yard sale last year thinking I would do something spiffy like you're doing. Haha; they are still in the basement, untouched, and I just look at them and get overwhelmed. I will probably give them away or sell them for what I paid. In a way, I'm kind of happy to hear you say those chairs were a lot of work because the more I looked at mine, that's exactly what I was thinking.

Here is the staged photo of the Buffett

And a dresser Lacy and I worked on Together

I thought the Buffett was my favorite until I finished this dresser.. I am in love with this. Have an 11 drawer long dresser that matches I will work on in the next couple days.

    Latest purchases

Comes with matching footboard.. all of the bedroom stuff above was 75

I figured out I have 2000 invested in all the furniture and supplies I have purchased.

I still have 3 items on the sales floor worth sales of 1500 and have

4 table sets with 6 chairs each
1 table set with 5 chairs and a bench
1 small table and two chairs
2 sets of two end tables
    1 coffee table
    1 lawyers Cabinet
    2 long 9 and 11 drawer dressers
2 tall dressers and 1 med dresser
2 beds with head and foot board
    2 night stands
    2 buffets

Whew.. that should keep me busy for a while

You do amazing things with old furniture CeCe! I love following this thread! You really have a talent for this!

Wow Cece! Everything looks so great but I’m in awe at all the work and time you put in! You must really love it. I, like others, have had every intention of doing something like this myself but the pieces I have to refinish just sit in the basement and taunt me, lol!
