Yes I had LOTS of hand pays from the $25 a spin reel machines, but still ended up coming home broke most of the time.

I now take a bankroll one tenth of that amount and bet no more than $1 a spin. I have just as much fun and don't lose that much anymore.

Still get an occasional hand pay with those small bets too.

I can honestly say, counting all my gambling trips, including my locals, that I have lost over a million dollars gambling during the last 40 years, and wish I still had that million now!

In the long run the casino is going to come out ahead anyway, so why bet that high when you know the casino will eventually get it all back?
    Good point Gene. Thanks.

A couple more bonuses before heading home. Leaving even and. It's importantly kept my bets below $2!

If you still had fun betting that low, then you're on your way to becoming a true low roller like me

Thanks! I'm not sure if I'll get another low-rolling trip in before Vegas because it's a very busy couple of weeks.

But I have a plan for Vegas to low roll at the end and mid roll at Bellagio. Plan to stick to it!

    Relearning lower rolling ways

I came back to the local for a couple hours. Gambling to commence shortly.

But I'm having the most entertaining dinner at a bar at the sports bar restaurant here.

First a group of older women have been here playing VP since 1pm and drinking continuously apparently. No comped drinks in NY. They're upset that they have a $150ish bar tab and hero on saying "we had 12 beers, not 28" and slurring their words. They're getting to the point of being belligerent. I think that's a pretty reasonable tab.

Next I've been ignored for most of my stay. Asked for water and got none. Ordered my dinner (hamburger no bun and sweet potato fries) and it wasn't input properly. I don't mind that so much.

Next, the female bartender who was helping me spent most of the time talking to a couple across the way. The woman just accused her of flirting with her husband. And she's being mean about it. The woman has been here the whole time. And the bartender is so so upset.

It's like a mini soap opera in here!
