If you like asian food, Id definitely recommend Asia at L'auberge, the food is incredible. If you are looking for a more upscale restaurant Ember Steakhouse and wine bar is the place to go, they have a piano player in the bar area every night, steaks are wonderful and they have an extensive wine list. If you guys don't care for wine, Kelly the bartender is a good friend of ours and she makes some amazing cocktails. Make sure when you get your players cards to ask if there is any promotions in which you'd have to swipe your card at the kiosk to be entered. Good luck and I hope ya'll have a great trip!

Thank you, Lacey. You advice will be very helpful, as we will be going in blind at Lake Charles. We will definitely try Asia and I would not have thought to ask about any promos.

It's official! After having to cancel our trip to Toronto this summer, we decided to tack on a couple of days to Lake Charles and Coushatta next month to a conference I already have to attend. We will be staying one night at L'Auberge and two nights at Coushatta. Our plan is to check out L'Auberge and Golden Nugget first.

For those of you that have been to these places, what are your favorite things to do at each? We have been to Coushatta and are familiar with restaurants there, but I heard the Lazy River is very nice. We will have to check it out. We will be staying at the Seven Clans Hotel there.

Also, cancelling our trip to Canada was so disappointing, but as it turns out ... my husband says we can take our annual trip to Las Vegas! Well, provided we don't go crazy in Louisiana. So it looks like our annual trip to the promised land will be happening in July! We stay at Wynn and there is just something exciting about pulling up to the Tower Suites entrance. It just makes me happy.

I know I don't contribute much to this board, as we do not live anywhere near casinos, but I hope to take lots of photos and post. I probably will not do a live report, but will recap for everyone if there is anything note worthy to share. I get so much enjoyment from reading all of your reports, it would be nice to return the favor.

Thank you! I wondered how the easiest way to get back and forth would be. We will be there on a Tuesday, so maybe it won't be that crowded? Either way, we will have fun experiencing something new.
