Yikes! The hotels that have you show your room key are sounding better all the time

Imagine how lucky that witness on the elevator was to not be another victim. Reminds us to always have our guard up when in a casino. So sad.

What a thug, just escort him across the street to the federal penitentiary for execution.

How terribly sad. The victim never had a chance.

And we kind of like Joliet, but maybe have to re-think this. Elevators are around the corner from check-in desk but you have to pass right beside it to get to elevators. Someone should have seen this sketchy person and called security. They'll have to add security now in hallway where elevators are at and I mean someone who could handle asking people to see room keys or Players card. If you don't like what you see on elevator then just walk off and get another.

OMG, that's what I was thinking too. They make an attempt at safety by having hotel guests insert their room keys; however, as happened here, only one person has to have a room key to start up an elevator that can transport a dozen more people. I just completed our stay survey the other day for Caesars AC and, while I know that bad things have happened at Borgata as well, I shared that I like having the security guard at both room elevator entrances request to see a room key. I have even complained at Mohegan Pocono regarding no security whatsoever at their room elevators, and sometimes there is not even a visible hotel desk clerk keeping an eye out.

So very sad! I'm always extra cautious getting on elevator. Don't feel like security is always watching and checking room cards very well.
