I had a change of heart and thought that since Encore Boston Harbor is new to all of us, it might be good to start a thread that has some information and to share experiences. I was hoping to have something Worthy of a trip report but that didn’t happen. So I guess this is as good a place as any to post our experience.
Thelma, Jacie, Lamie and I decided we wanted to go to Encore Boston Harbor. So last night we had a pajama party at Thelma’s. We used that time to do some planning for upcoming cruises.
After a very short sleep, we got up early to head for the casino. Of course a Dunkin’ Donuts run was mandatory
The casino is only about a half hour from Thelma's so we were there by about 5:45. The parking garage was fairly empty as was the casino. We were greeted immediately by a very sweet young man who took a picture for us.
The property is beautiful, and obviously immaculate. We took a quick walk around, but were too distracted by the pretty lights to stay focused on checking things out. Well, we all took one hell of a beating the first couple hours. I did not hit a single bonus before having to take the walk of shame, soon followed by the rest of the crew. Luckily after my Walkashame I was able to play on $100 for the next 2 1/2 hours and cashed out at a whopping 72 bucks.
It was low tide and cloudy so the view of the water was not terribly impressive but this is where the water taxi comes in from Rowe’s wharf in Boston. I iMagine at high Tide on a sunny day it would be much prettier.
There are some areas outside to smoke, and one of them is on a covered patio with four chairs. It’s a much better environment than MGM in Springfield. They do comp drinks but not until 8 AM, and I’m not sure what time they stop serving although I seem to remember an article that said they got a variance of some sort to serve until 4 AM but I could be crazy about that. Drink service was great although we were only drinking coffee and water.
As you can see it is very reminiscent of Wynn in Vegas. The service seems every bit as good and time will tell how it does. I apologize for not taking more pictures. Because it really is a lovely property but I have slot ADD and was unable to fulfill my own mission.
