July is doable for me. It lines up with my goal of trying to stay away until the 4th of July. Of course my trip to Reno is the last weekend in June but that’s close enough if that doesn’t get canceled.But we do have an offer for a junket to Harrah's AC for Thursday, July 9th - Sunday, July 12th. Harrah's Ak-Chin opening Friday morning now too. Now I have choices this weekend!!!
Here's the details- no masks required, no buffet, no Laurel Lounge either, no bingo and no poker. It sounds like all slots will be on though- just spaced out.
HARRAH’S AK-CHIN CASINO TO RE-OPEN MAY 15, SOCIAL DISTANCING PROTOCOLS IN PLACE
(MARICOPA, Ariz. – May 8, 2020) – The Ak-Chin Tribal Council has approved the re-opening of Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino, effective 9 am on Friday, May 15, 2020.
Harrah’s management has put in place a variety of social distancing measures for the health and safety of casino guests and employees. These include:
The casino floor will be open with slot machine banks arranged to allow for proper social distancing and with limited seating at Blackjack tables. The Poker Room, Keno and BINGO will not be open at this time.
Hand-sanitizing stations throughout the casino floor, masks for all employees and increased cleaning service in all common areas and throughout the back of the house.
Dunkin Donuts, Copper Cactus, Chop Block & Brew, and Agaves will be open for food/beverage service, with social distancing protocols in place. The Buffet, Oak & Fork and Laurel Lounge will not be open at this time.
Based on the number of guest reservations, the resort and tower guestrooms will also open on May 15 for stays beginning that evening.
Additionally, The Events Center at Harrah’s Ak-Chin, including all events and conference, Valet and Spa and Fitness Center will remain closed at this time.
“Over the past several weeks the Tribal Council, along with Caesars management, have been monitoring the situation here in Arizona and across the country, making sure we had the best and most accurate information needed to re-open the casino,” said Robert Livingston, general manager of Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino. “We look forward to welcoming back our casino guests in the coming days.”
Also saw Gila River casinos opening Friday now so 5 of the 8 casinos near me will be open already and all will feel pretty normal with their plans.

I've made flight and reservation plans to stay at Bally's on the strip in LV 3 times so far. 1st) was for 5/2, then 5/15, now it's for arrival on 5/22. I hope that this will be the last time that I have to rearrange my plans. I need to get away and relax on some high limit video poker - it's been awhile. Hi folks! I'm back! Had a little snafu back in February. On February 12th, I had to go to the emergency room at my local hospital. I couldn't seem to catch my breath? So, after they checked me over, they said that I had a heart attack and wouldn't allow me to leave to go back home. They kept me overnight and transferred me by ambulance the next day to Duke University Hospital that's in Durham (NC). They said that I needed a double bypass. stayed there for 10 days until I could get back home and have been healing up nicely since and am now ready to have a little fun!!! Anyone else gonna be around Vegas? I'll be there for 10 days.
