Casino Controlled slots . Is It Real ?

Was watching this vid on u-tube with Professor of Slots (Y'all know the guy ) any way he is saying that Las Vegas is now and has been for a while remotely changing the odds on slots (house edge or hold %) on the week days and then again week ends due to how many ppl are coming in the door . .. My comment to him was "there making these machine into For entertainment purposes only type units . that gonna cost them in the long run " . My question to Y'all is . And this goes out to mainly you guys that go to L V a lot . Are any of you seeing this pattern being described here . where the slots seem to be tighter on the weekend and a bit looser during the weekdays ? also IF any of y'all are seeing this any where's else in the country . It duz seem to me like Gulfport was like this last time through . thou i can't swear to it . seems to me it would be tough to pick up on it . . Any ways Thoughts any one .

Casinos are always busier on weekends, so maybe the percentages get skewed. I would rather play during the week when casinos are less crowded, but besides having more machine choices, IMO - I doubt the machines are set to pay any differently.

I think they can only do it with server based games and there were a bunch of rules around it. Like they cant do it while played and it blanks out for a while with a message when it’s happening. So it’s possible but probably only newer games. The old games I think they have to open it up and that would be a lot of work. I personally do not think it’s commonly done, they really don’t have too. Why collect more on a weekend just to return some extra during the week, just set it at 88-90%.

I don’t believe this happens. The casinos simply do not need to do it. Slot machines are money makers without the extra work and paperwork required to constantly change paybacks. I’ve won and lost on all days of the week.

I agree with you 100% on this. And do people actually think that the casinos would do something like this and risk getting caught by the Gaming Control Board? With that would come fines in the millions, the possibility of being shut down, and even worse, their reputation at stake? Yeah, let it come out that a casino was doing this and see how empty that casino would be

Having just come back from Vegas, and it was VERY crowded during the weekday, that the machines seemed way tighter in the daytime versus night. I consistently played the same machines and the same bet and had much better results at night. I felt like I wandered around during the daytime looking to just get some sort of win. It never came. However after dinner my luck always changed. I got a $1,000 ball drop and the lady next to me got a $3,000 ball drop, on $5.00 bets. These came within 5 minutes of each other

I’ve always felt that I’ve had more wins when the casino was busy… only a feeling though and of course with the caveat I can play my fave games during the busy times.
