I just finished your trip report with my Sunday morning coffee. Thank you so much for sharing as I'm not a cruiser and this will be the closest I'll get. (besides watching Dream Cruises on the AWE chamnel. I thoroughly enjoyed the read, definitely not too much!

I had never heard of the AWE Channel (I looked it up). I don't get that channel and would LOVE to see all those past "Dream Cruise" episodes!

I had to take this picture of my Grandson sitting on a classic wooden steamship lounge chair on the teak Promenade Deck!

Naturally he's wearing a Texas A&M t-shirt (his Dad's a grad).

Thanks for the report Monica. Did you venture into the casino at all? They always seem to be packed on the cruises we take and the few video poker machines they have usually have such bad pay tables.

Hope you don't mind me answering for Monica. They don't have casinos on Disney cruises. Kind of takes away from the wholesome family values lol.

Your grandson is a real cutie Monica! She is COMPLETELY the organized type. I know she reads the DIS boards and has probably been to most of the cruise boards but I will definitely pass your info on to her. Going to talk to her today and see if she has any specific questions. Oh and I think I may have said this before but you look way too young too be a grandmother!

As Ida stated - no casinos on Disney Cruise Line ships! Only Bingo and I didn't play that either, just kept the other Grandma company while she played.
I didn't miss the casino as I very rarely play in the casino's on ships - they're not regulated and yes, have terrible VP paytables. My husband will play blackjack only, in the evenings on board cruises while
I'm hanging out in the piano bar or playing evening trivia. On my previous cruise, before the Disney one, I did play Roulette (first and only time ever!) with some other passengers that I had met earlier
in the cruise.
On the Holland America cruise in the fall of 2013, I was sailing with my Mom and she likes to gamble in the casino. I went to the casino myself, the first evening, to figure out how to use her room key in the casino slot machines and hit a .25 progressive Royal on my first hand lol I took the whole win home with me as I never played again but did help my Mom play the slot machines (she has short-term memory loss).
