Given how much work it is to do a live TR, I can understand that but I'm still sad about it. Anyway, let me know if they have started this with the Gold Lounge before or during your trip.

I will be at Palazzo next Monday and I will definitely check out the Gold Lounge. I liked to go there for some tea and a little snack.
Same here and even though the Platinum lounge will still have food until 9pm, it's usually around 2am I need a little snack.

I don't think the changes as far as no food in the Gold Lounge takes place until April 4th. However you could check with a Gold Lounge attendant and see if the confirm the future change.

Yeah, there was still food in there this past weekend (3/26/2016). My Aunt and I had "breakfast" there. (Croissant, cheese and coffee)
As @Nhcris reported, Gold lounge now just coffee, tea, juice. We spent 20 minutes in there this morning, no one else even came it. I think the GL days are numbered....

That's too bad. No reason to even keep it open now because you can get coffee, tea, juice on the casino floor from the CWs.
I did ask my host to pass along my disappointment in the changes. I know that's not worth much, but it can't hurt.
