Some interesting ideas! I was a daily envelope person until recently, but after a while I found that I was a rotten thief. I stole from Tuesday & Wednesday on Monday and then felt guilty. The last couple of trips I was less rigid, and seemed to do a bit better overall.

Last couple of trips I divided the bankroll up more by where I was staying. In Vegas in particular I stay longer and usually make a couple of moves. Last trip I had bankroll for Reno, bankroll for Tahoe, a small bankroll for 4 Queens and bankroll for Palazzo. That was a long trip but I came home with some cash. On those long trips I don't bring the entire bankroll, so I moved winnings forward and didn't even make my last planned withdrawal which was nice. For this AC trip I have a night at Foxwoods, 3 at Borgata and a night at Mohegan Sun, so I think I will break it up in 3 (uneven) chunks and see how it goes. I will also bring a little extra for the stumble but not much.

I don't think I could do the $20 in and $40 or more out. I like to play off the same tito all day (or at least the morning, afternoon or evening) when I can. It helps me keep better track. When I start feeding twenties into the machines I have absolutely no idea what I have done until it's all gone. It's much easier for me to keep track if I start out with a hundy. I bet it's fun to count up a fistful of titos at the end of the day though!

Bankroll management is such a huge challenge. The most important thing for me is to STOP for awhile when things are going badly. Eating, taking a walk, changing casinos, or even going to take a pee usually seem to break the cycle.
