    New taxable jackpots threshold

Received this email yesterday that in Iowa they are still going to deduct the state taxes at 1200 kind of annoying but probably won’t stop the Isle in Bettendorf from being my favorite casino. Any one from other states get this or just us? Attached the letter

I didn’t get anything specific to any other states only federal. I think it should have been raised to $5000. What sucks about the new law is that you can only deduct 90% of your losses instead of 100%.

There's a group of congressmen trying to fix that 10% bug. It should slip into a bill sometime this year.

Also there's a movement afoot to eliminate taxes on winnings much like eliminating taxes on tips. Hope it go but doubt it will

I think one of the best thing this new law will do , is slap the slot Influencer types with a 10 % charge for wanting to be you tube famous . other than that im not a fan .
